Society overvalues romantic relationships and undervalues friendship says Simon Sinek. When stays in a 16-year unhealthy relationship that jeu admit should have lasted one year, society says they "did it right." Someone who's happy, has great friends, but hasn't married, people ask "What's wrong with you?" Why do we diagnose people as having "commitment issues" when they leave relationships that aren't working, but praise those who stay in situations that make them unhappy? Maybe the real issue isn't individual failure. Maybe it's societal priorities that need examining. What relationships actually bring you joy? #findingmastery #mastery #mindset #fyp #tiktok

value of human is going up because the value of machine is low says Simon Sinek. Assembly line products are perfect and not special. Your Pottery Barn mug is flawless in every way, but a Japanese ceramic mug made by hand—with imperfect sides and wonky glaze—is more beautiful. It’s more beautiful because it’s human. Because it’s imperfect. We’re starting to crave imperfect, handmade, hand-drawn, hand-conceived, handwritten. We want effort because effort has value. In a world of algorithmic perfection, human flaws become features. Our inconsistencies, our struggles, our unique perspectives—these aren’t bugs to fix. They’re what make us irreplaceable. #humans #findingmastery #mastery #mindset #fyp

“When a person is in a relationship with someone narcissistic, the most common reactions are self-blame, self-doubt, isolation, loneliness, rumination, regret, anxiety, depression, anger…” - says @DoctorRamani The person in the relationship starts fading more and more. They wonder, “maybe it is me because I’m the one who stopped taking care of myself, always a downer.”  Where it gets tricky is if the partner is very successful — beautiful home, great experiences, fancy schools. There’s guilt. Guilt is a very common reaction in survivors of these relationships, but material comfort doesn’t heal emotional abuse. #findingmastery #psychology #mindset

Empathy is the ability to experience another person's state and be aware of how your behaviors impact them... It's creating a mental model of what someone else is going through in real time. Compassion is taking action from that state. Empathy is feeling with someone. Compassion is doing something about it. One is awareness, the other is movement. Both are essential for meaningful connection and leadership. The world needs more people who can feel what others are experiencing AND have the courage to act on that understanding. @DoctorRamani #findingmastery #psychology #tiktok #fyp #drramani

When you think about financial success, there’s only 3 or 4 variables: how much you make, how much you save, your growth on assets, and inflation... But the saving thing is huge. The ones who really end up with massive wealth down the road are not the highest wage earners. Habits are important. Good habits are even more important. If a young person can get into the mindset where it’s not about how much they’re making, but how much they’re saving and investing. #psychology #mastery #money #finance #fyp

There's an experiment @Vanessa Van Edwards encourages everyone to do. All day long, go out to malls, your office especially, and just say 'hey'. Be the first to initiate. You're going to do it 100 times in a row as the first initiator. Break that second of hesitation. You'll get people who make bad faces, act like you're weird, you're going to feel it, but guess what? You survived. Do little experiments in your life. Outside in but also inside stuff too. #psychology #fyp #tiktok #vanessavanedwards #bodylanguage

Ancient Greeks had two different words for time... Chronos — chronological , linear clicking of time, the clicking of the clock. That's how most of us interact with time. Then they had Kairos — the idea that not all time is created equal. These are specific moments, windows that have more texture, meaning, weightiness to them. We live in chronos but thrive in kairos. Those moments when everything clicks, when you're fully present, when time seems to bend — that's where the magic happens. @Sahil Bloom #findingmastery #psychology #time #tiktok #fyp

What’s your potential? It’s one of the best practices I think that we do. I’ll say to somebody, look, next time we see each other, I really want you to spend some time to think about what your potential is. See if you can get a vision, use your imagination to get as clear as you possibly can about what you believe you’re capable of. I just want to see and feel that compelling future and I’ll do the same for you. and then let’s calibrate. Combine those 2 and you will realize what someone’s potential is. #mastery #mindset #findingmastery #psychology #fyp

Confidence comes from one place : what you say to yourself. But it has to be credible. The Perception of the challenge has to be mapped against perception of skills. When you see the challenge clearly and know you have skills to navigate it, you can build genuine confidence. The trap for naturally talented people: You never learned this calculus because success came easily. Your confidence depended on external results—buckets going in, audience reactions, things going well. Waiting for the external world to validate your internal world is dangerous. When confidence depends on outcomes, you’re at the mercy of circumstances. Real confidence is state specific but internally sourced. It’s the ability to back yourself regardless of what’s happening around you. Absolutely loved this conversation with @Simon Sinek on his podcast “A Bit of Optimism” 🔥 #psychology #fyp #mindset #mastery #confidence

They model off you, day in and day out. Every opportunity to discuss and process emotions, to own behaviors—even mistakes—becomes their blueprint. Admitting mistakes actually helps your child become more emotionally intelligent because it shows them the process. They learn that everyone makes errors and how to handle them constructively. Master this approach and you’ve won 90% of the parenting battle. #findingmastery #psychology #mindset #mastery #fyp

“Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse where a person’s reality, memory, perceptions, and experiences are denied — and then the person is told they’re somehow lacking or there’s something wrong with them…” The manipulation isn’t just about the lie — it’s about making you doubt yourself completely. Old wealth is: bank account, house, car, watch — all the status external things... New wealth for me is a sense of zest for life, of vibrance. Harvard's 80-year study pointed to purpose and connection as two of the main threads for what I would call new wealth. It's not about what you have — it's about how alive you feel, how connected you are, how much meaning drives your days. The richest people aren't necessarily the wealthiest. They're the ones who wake up excited about their lives, deeply connected to others, and clear about why they're here. Thank you @Sahil Bloom for coming on the podcast. #psychology #fyp #tiktok #wealth #mindset

The reason people change is because of pain... The reason we grow is because we get uncomfortable and embrace being uncomfortable.  Being honest with the pain we feel is usually the prime mover for people to do the work necessary to push to the edge. And… There's a difference between pain and suffering.  We're all suffering — we all have emptiness or dark corners inside our spirit that aren't fulfilled.  When I'm talking about pain, I'm talking about acknowledging that suffering, being in touch with it enough to say "I don't want to do this anymore. This is not the person I want to become." Pain isn't the enemy — it's the messenger that change is needed. #findingmastery #psychology #mastery #fyp #tiktok

The science is clear: Watching sports decreases loneliness. Researchers studied 7,000 people and asked them about their life satisfaction and loneliness. Come to find out, people that watch sport have a decrease in loneliness and an increase in life satisfaction. There are 3 key reasons: 1. Community - There’s a sense of community and connection. 2. Dopamine - There’s a little dopamine spike when you’re actually invested in the team you’re interested in. 3. Interaction - You’re in the room. You’re talking about it with other people. If you think you might be watching a little bit rest assured that it’s actually good for you. Enjoy and GO TEAM USA 🇺🇸⚽️ #psychology #sports #worldcup2026 #fyp #tiktok

The value of doing the work is what makes you smarter and hones the machine. If we just ask AI to do everything for us, the results might be incredible, but because you don't know how to write that article, you can't tell if it was actually good. You're not getting smarter, better, or faster. Your intuition isn't honing. The obsession with results means you're not doing the work, which means you're hurting yourself. Lessons come from somewhere. Experience builds intuition that can't be shortcut. #findingmastery #mastery #mindset #fyp #tiktok
