Some good and bad coming out of the first round of @gncc_racing 😮‍💨 Good news is that was the first mud race I actually felt comfortable in, I’m very happy with how I rode. My best start to a season with a 2nd 🙌🏻 Bad news is I got in another fight with a tree on the third lap and broke my fibula in my left leg 😬 not the best feeling, but I’m happy I was able to finish strong. I’m ready to suffer for the next month or so. Big shoutout to @sos_safetyonsite Dr. Tanner for the X-ray after the race and helping me get a game plan together to start the healing process 🙌🏻 📸 @mackfaint

Some good and bad coming out of the first round of @gncc_racing 😮‍💨 Good news is that was the first mud race I actually felt comfortable in, I’m very happy with how I rode. My best start to a season with a 2nd 🙌🏻 Bad news is I got in another fight with a tree on the third lap and broke my fibula in my left leg 😬 not the best feeling, but I’m happy I was able to finish strong. Six week update 😮‍💨 Recovery has gone really well, I’m very happy with how they were able to put my leg back together. This experience has definitely been a lot easier than my last, already knowing some of the mental and physical challenges that come with breaking a femur and with only having one limb out of commission 😂. The biggest challenge has been building my knee and my hip back up since they had to go through both to properly fix the damage. I make a little more progress every single day. Consistency has been the name of the game, I absolutely have had days where I doubt myself and my goals but I keep moving and pushing regardless of those doubts that sneak in. Remember who you are and never give up on yourself 🙌🏻 nothing worth having comes easy.

Six week update 😮‍💨 Recovery has gone really well, I’m very happy with how they were able to put my leg back together. This experience has definitely been a lot easier than my last, already knowing some of the mental and physical challenges that come with breaking a femur and with only having one limb out of commission 😂. The biggest challenge has been building my knee and my hip back up since they had to go through both to properly fix the damage. I make a little more progress every single day. Consistency has been the name of the game, I absolutely have had days where I doubt myself and my goals but I keep moving and pushing regardless of those doubts that sneak in. Remember who you are and never give up on yourself 🙌🏻 nothing worth having comes easy.
