It’s men’s mental health awareness month so I asked some friends their thoughts on therapy—curious to hear yours in the comments!
Having a professional, confidential space to talk through things can help you gain clarity and a different perspective. For me, the hardest part was knowing where to start. I actually came across @RulaHealth while looking for a therapist who accepted my health insurance. @rulahealth made it incredibly simple to browse therapist options and find a good fit. @solaglocal 🎥 || I always hear people tell me their skimboarding horror stories of when they tried skimboarding but it turned into a painful yard sale. The crazy thing is there’s just a few things that someone could tell you that could dramatically lower your potential of painfully wiping out. Here’s a couple tips 👇:
1. Walk onto the board, don’t JUMP onto it… jumping all at once requires a lot more balance when you get on. If you can trust the “1 step drop” and walk-on back foot first, you can seamlessly transfer your momentum onto the board.
2. Get on from behind, NOT THE SIDE. Getting on from the side will instantly throw off the direction of your momentum and almost always in disaster. Getting on from behind allows your momentum to seamlessly flow forward and keep you balanced and moving in the right direction. #howtoskimboard #skimboarding #skimboard #lifehacks #tips #howto
