Reasons why Mbappe is 1 of 1 🐐 🔥

Say what you want about him on the ball. Off it, he’s harder to argue with.

He refused to let the France shirt sell betting and fast food. He hid the beer logo on his own man-of-the-match trophies. He gives away every bonus France pays him — all of it to a children’s charity. And he built a foundation for kids from the same streets he grew up on.

Not everything worth respecting happens in 90 minutes.

The hardest race on earth broke every woman who tried it for 38 years.

Then Jasmin Paris finished it with 99 seconds to spare.

This isn’t a list of great female athletes. It’s a list of feats almost nobody alive — man or woman — has ever matched.

Winning a 240-mile race outright by 10 hours. Free climbing 3,000 feet of granite no man could touch for two decades. Swimming the English Channel four times without stopping, one year after chemo. Crossing the Bering Strait in nothing but a swimsuit. Breaking a 268-mile record while pumping breast milk mid-race.

The pattern scientists keep circling: the longer and harder the event, the smaller the gap gets. At the extremes, it sometimes disappears entirely.

Which one of these did you already know?

Everyone talks about Bukayo Saka’s talent. Nobody talks about this.

Since 2022, Saka has partnered with the charity BigShoe to fund life-changing surgeries for 120 children in Kano, Nigeria — the country his parents are from. After the February 2023 earthquake, he funded housing for 26 displaced families across eastern Turkey. Then in September 2023, he funded a container village sheltering 255 people — 84 families in total — in the hardest-hit region of Morocco.

Closer to home, Saka donated over 1,000 school uniforms to four schools in Ealing, including the primary and secondary schools he attended himself, to help families through the cost-of-living crisis. He still returns to Greenford High to personally inspire the next generation of kids growing up exactly where he did.

None of this erases what happened after the Euro 2020 final. After missing the decisive penalty, Saka faced horrific racist abuse online. He responded with resilience and grace — and in 2022, his hometown gave him its highest honor, the Freedom of the Borough of Ealing, for his impact both on and off the pitch.

Most people take the right supplements at the wrong time.

Vitamin D without fat is barely absorbed.

Iron with coffee loses most of its value.

Calcium and iron cancel each other out.

Creatine, meanwhile, works whenever you take it. So does protein. Half the timing advice online is invented.

This is the whole thing, in one place.

Fat-soluble. Empty stomach. Pre-training. Evening. And the ones that should never be taken together.

Save it. Check your stack against it.

The hair tie in Erling Haaland’s hair? He owns part of the company that makes it.

That’s the whole strategy in one image.

Haaland’s Manchester City deal runs to 2034 and is reported at over $250M. Most players treat a number like that as the destination. He treats it as capital.

He invests through a Norwegian company called Pillage. The name means plunder — a Viking joke, held under a parent company in Luxembourg. The portfolio inside it has nearly tripled since he set it up.

And look at what’s actually in it.

Bon Dep, the company behind the KKNEKKI hair ties he wears. Turnover reportedly doubled after he got involved. Equity in Hyperice, the recovery tech he uses. Equity in Db, the Scandinavian luggage brand. A stake in a Norwegian bank.

Then, in 2026, he moved on chess — an angel investment in Norway Chess and a co-founded vehicle that took a quarter of the business. His reasoning: chess forces you to think several moves ahead.

Notice the pattern. Mostly Norwegian. Mostly boring. All of it explainable in one sentence. No crypto, no nightclubs, no vanity restaurants.

Most players his age have just hired a first business manager. He has a family office, a holding company abroad and a portfolio built to outlast his knees.

He’s 25.

Most people already eat the right foods.

They just eat them in the wrong amounts.

Two squares of chocolate is a habit. Half a bar is a problem. Twelve almonds is a snack. A handful and a half is a meal you did not plan for. The gap between food that works for you and food that works against you is almost never the food. It is the dose.

Swipe for the eleven and the exact amounts.

Two that surprise people every time:

Tomatoes give you more lycopene cooked than raw. Roast them.

Kiwi carries more vitamin C than an orange. Two a day.

None of this is a shortcut. Nobody eats one avocado and wakes up different. You eat this way for a year and you notice. You eat this way for ten and other people notice.

Small choices. Every day. On repeat.

Everyone remembers Higuaín’s miss. Almost nobody talks about what Messi did next. 🐐🤍

After the 2014 final, Higuaín says the locker room went silent and his teammates turned on him. Then Messi hugged him, defended him to the coach, and fought to bring him back. In his words: “His heart is really big.”

Everyone sees the speed. Almost nobody sees the cost.

Kylian Mbappé left home at 14 for Clairefontaine, where discipline is taught alongside technique. Zero alcohol in season. Sleep protected like a training session. Diet measured every day. Recovery treated as seriously as the work itself.

The talent opened the door. The routine is why he is still standing in it.

Talent is common. What you do with it is not.

Zheng Qinwen had elbow surgery, won 1.6 million dollars on court all year, and still finished fifth on this list. Brands paid her the other 21 million.

Eileen Gu earned around 100,000 on the snow. Sponsors gave her 23 million.

That is the pattern through the whole top ten. Only one woman in it, Elena Rybakina, made more from playing her sport than from endorsements, and she needed the largest single payday in the history of women’s sport to do it.

Coco Gauff tops the list for a third straight year at 33 million. Eight of that came from tennis.

Seven of the ten are tennis players, because tennis remains the only sport paying women at anything close to scale.

And for the third year running, no woman appears anywhere in Forbes’ 50 highest paid athletes overall. The cutoff was 54.6 million. The highest paid woman on the planet fell 21 million short of making the list at all.

They asked a teenager how he handles World Cup pressure.

He answered by talking about his mother.
Lamine Yamal was born to a 16-year-old mum in Rocafonda, raised by a father who picked things off the street just to put food on the table.

His name is a thank you to two friends who once covered the family’s rent. A club let him play for free because his family couldn’t. Barcelona took him in at seven.

Debut at 15. La Liga months later. Euro winner at 16. Now he’s 19 and lighting up his first World Cup.

Naomi Osaka earned $51.1M in 2022.

$1.1M of it came from tennis.

She was the highest-paid female athlete on the planet three years running, and her 2021 total of $57.3M is still the record. But the court was never where the money was.

She co-founded a media company with LeBron James. Its first project got an Emmy nomination.

She built a skincare brand and put it in 2,500 Walmart stores.

She bought into an NWSL club, then walked her own sponsor into backing the entire league.

She took equity in Sweetgreen, BodyArmor and Hyperice instead of a fee.

$23M in career prize money. Everything else came from ownership.

Most athletes get paid to wear the product. Osaka figured out how to own it.

The fastest man in history ate 1,000 chicken nuggets at the Olympics.

Not as a cheat meal. As his entire diet — breakfast, lunch and dinner for 10 days, because the local food in Beijing upset his stomach. He broke three world records on it.

That’s the thing about Bolt. Everything about him breaks the rulebook. He celebrated before the finish line of an Olympic final and still set a world record — with his shoelace untied. He was born with scoliosis and legs of different lengths, a build that should have made him slower than everyone he destroyed. And the 100m — the event that made him immortal — only happened because of a bet with his coach to get out of harder training.

By his own admission he slacked in the gym and loved to party. And he ran 9.58.

Talent this unfair only shows up once a century.

Which fact surprised you most?

Everyone talks about Haaland’s talent.

The goals. The speed. The frame that looks built in a lab.

But talent was never the full story.

His father played in the Premier League. His mother was a heptathlon champion. He was born with the ceiling most players spend a lifetime chasing.

And it still wouldn’t have been enough on its own.

Because the ceiling is just potential. What he does with it is a choice he makes every single day.

He trains to remove weaknesses, not to look good. He eats to recover, not to impress. He treats sleep like a weapon. He recovers with the same intensity he trains with. He guards his energy like it’s the only currency that matters.

People want his results. Almost nobody wants his lifestyle.

That’s the part that doesn’t trend.

Being extraordinary was never one secret. It’s a thousand ordinary decisions, repeated until they become who you are.

The talent got him noticed. The discipline made him unstoppable.

Bouaddi is now Manchester City’s record signing. Here’s the story behind it.

He didn’t own a games console as a kid. He reportedly read books instead.

He was serious about turning pro early, giving up junk food at just ten years old. That same year, he reportedly captained his club’s under-13 side.

By 16 he’d earned his baccalaureate. He was always drawn to science, and noticed that studying sharpened his footballing IQ, so he pursued a maths degree while playing professionally.

He wanted to master public speaking too. He reportedly won a speaking contest at just fifteen.

He played for France at youth level, then switched allegiance to Morocco, a decision he called a matter of the heart.

On his 17th birthday, he silenced Real Madrid in the Champions League. Through all of it, he stayed calm and humble.

Now he’s City’s record signing. None of it happened by accident.

The human body has a ceiling. These people never agreed to it.

Bob Beamon jumped so far the record he broke stood for 23 years. Kipchoge ran 26.2 miles at a pace most people cannot hold for one. Wim Hof taught his own nervous system to ignore the cold. Karnazes ran until the science stopped making sense. Diana Nyad swam from Cuba to Florida at 64, on her fifth try, 35 years after the first.

None of them were built different. They were willing different.

Everyone has a limit they treat as a wall. These are the people who treated it as a door. The gap between impossible and done is almost always just one more attempt.

Ten athletes. Over $1.4 billion in twelve months.

Forbes just dropped its 2026 list, and the gap at the top tells the whole story. Cristiano Ronaldo brought in a reported $300 million — matching Floyd Mayweather’s 2015 mark for the biggest year Forbes has ever tracked for an active athlete.

Behind him: Canelo, Messi, LeBron, Ohtani, Curry, Rahm, Benzema, Durant and Hamilton. Every name clearing nine figures for the third year running.

Football and basketball take six of the ten spots. Boxing, baseball, golf and F1 split the rest.

The lesson isn’t the talent. It’s the leverage — salary, endorsements, equity, ownership. The ones who stay on top built income that pays whether they compete or not.

Ten football facts that sound invented.

Spain won a World Cup on eight goals. Denmark won a Euros they never qualified for. Lineker played sixteen years without a booking. Forest have more European Cups than league titles.

Salenko won a Golden Boot and went home in the group stage. Lahm went thirteen months without a foul. Real Madrid played their own reserve team in a cup final.

No English manager has ever won the Premier League.

All true. Check every one.
