If you are building your team, remember this: connect BEFORE you direct. Genuinely invest time in understanding who people are personally, and they'll work harder for you professionally.

Stop waiting. Stop guessing.

Find someone who’s crushing it, ask questions, and do what they do.

The fastest way to get ahead is by learning from people who are already there.

Invest in yourself, show up every day, and your results will explode!

What happened to all my housing crash people? #comedy #realestate
Yesterday, I turned 45. This is what winning looks like:

5am: daughter snuck into bed and snuggled with me
7am: had Coco Puffs with my daughter
8am: worked out with my wife
9am: had breakfast at the neighborhood diner...with my wife
11am: worked on one thing I really enjoy doing at work
1pm: took my daughter for ice cream and Barnes & Nobles
3pm: took my wife to my favorite cigar lounge, had a Macallan 25
5pm: spoke to both my parents and in-laws
6pm: had date night and crushed a wagyu double cheeseburger (maybe two)
9pm: watched basketball
9:20pm: fell asleep

Cheers to another 45.

God. Family. Country.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Two hours run the other 22: when you sleep, when you wake.

Get those right and the day runs itself. Mine starts at 9:37pm. Not “around 10.” A vague bedtime is one you negotiate with. A specific one you obey.

The last hour before bed:

1. The 3/2/1 rule. No food 3 hours before. No liquids 2 hours before. No screens 1 hour before. Your morning is won the night before.

2. Magnesium an hour out. It’s the off switch most people skip.

3. Cold room, dark room. Eight Sleep mattress set to 65 degrees, Manta Pro mask on, pitch black. Sleep is a setup, not a hope. My Whoop band keeps me honest.

The first hour awake:

4. Hydrate before anything. 8oz of water with Thorne electrolytes 5 min after waking up.

5. Protein in within 45 minutes. A 32oz OWYN shake before the day grabs me

6. No coffee for a full hour. Natural cortisol release.

And once a week:

7. Sunday reset in the Renu Therapy plunge. One cold plunge a week, on purpose, after basketball with a cigar 😉

None of this is exotic. It’s boring discipline done specifically.

What’s the one habit you’d add?

Most Loan Officers communicate from a place of inferiority and need to increase their status signaling.

Imagine going to the doctor when you're sick and being "thanked sooo much for YOUR time."

Current status: Out of office 😂
If you feel stuck, it’s likely because of these 3 things.

I used to think it was something unique to me, but over the past 4 years, I’ve had the great honor of leading hundreds of incredible loan officers, managers, and executives, and now consulting 7-, 8-, and 9-figure entrepreneurs.

The same three barriers show up every time:

1. Entitlement.
Some think their company, tenure, loan officers, employees or past production owes them something. It doesn’t.

Things are changing so fast that you have two choices: get better, or get bitter, and that takes humility.

I test this by asking: “How many people have you asked for advice in the past month?” Most hesitate because they already know the answer is zero. That says a lot.

2. Fear.

This is a big one. Fear of rejection. Fear of judgment. Fear of hiring. Fear of firing. Fear of delegating. Fear of asking for what they want.

Here’s the truth: change happens after courage, which comes after fear. And fear is the biggest liar in the world.

3. Perfection.

They let perfectionism disguise itself as preparation.

The biggest struggle most have in their professional lives, which then bleeds into their personal lives, is scaling. And scaling loves simplicity, hates complexity.

So they get stuck doing the same things because they want the desired change to be perfect at the start.

Determine which one stops you (it will take deep introspection).

I hope this impacted just one person today.
