A clip has been circulating online from the event that shows Travis behind the DJ booth while the DJ hypes up the crowd. In the short clip, a cameraman who is filming the crowd stands directly in front of the rapper, resulting in Travis tossing multiple water bottles at the man to try to get his attention.

After Travis throws two bottles, the cameraman finally notices and moves to the side, as Travis appears to explain himself.

Jalen Brunson is rightfully being celebrated as the ultimate hero of the Big Apple after bringing NYC its first NBA title in 53 long years.

One worthwhile caveat: "best city" depends entirely on what's being measured. A separate WalletHub study earlier this year ranked New York dead last, 182nd of 182, as a place to start a career, citing punishing housing and commute costs against starting salaries. Resonance's ranking rewards scale, culture, and prestige, which is exactly where the Big Apple has no equal.

This past Sunday, New York City’s 57th annual Pride March drew roughly 750,000 participants and 2 million onlookers craning out windows and filling sidewalks. Governor Kathy Hochul made an appearance, as did a jacketless Mayor Mamdani waving a mini trans flag — the whole spectacle equal parts celebration and middle finger to Washington. Fifty-seven years after Stonewall, the march that grew from a riot is still, pointedly, a little bit of both.

One of the wildest proposals of the year happened nearly 1,500 feet above New York City. Professional rooftoppers Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus illegally climbed the spire of the Empire State Building, unfurled a banner reading, “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace,” and then Beerkus got down on one knee. She said yes.

The pair are no strangers to extreme urban climbing and were featured in Netflix’s Skywalkers: A Love Story, but this stunt crossed into a highly restricted area and ended with both of them being arrested. Authorities have announced multiple charges, including burglary, criminal trespass and reckless endangerment.

Whether you see it as a breathtaking love story or an incredibly reckless stunt, there’s no denying it has everyone talking. Romance at the highest level followed by a trip straight into police custody.

Two masked climbers scaled all the way to the top of the Empire State Building around noon on Wednesday, stopping traffic below and setting social media on fire. Once they reached the spire, they unfurled a flag reading: “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

Then it got personal. On the way down, one of the climbers appeared to propose to the other on a spire platform — over 1,400 feet in the air, with NYPD helicopters circling and officers climbing up after them.

Both were taken into custody once the NYPD reached the top. Charges are pending and an investigation is underway, and their identities and how they even got up there are still unknown.

Nicki Minaj performed a medley during the show alongside 2 Chainz. Russell Westbrook won MVP that night, beating out James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James after averaging a historic triple double for the entire season. Westbrook brought his teammates up on stage during an emotional acceptance speech saying “This award is not for me. It’s for all of these guys.”

Looking back it was one of the most natural hosting performances any artist had delivered at a major award show.

New York City shelters 97% of its homeless population. Los Angeles shelters 30%. Both are American cities. The gap between them is not a resource problem. It is a policy problem.

Approximately 47,000 people in Los Angeles sleep outdoors every night. In encampments, tents, cars, and doorways. Los Angeles declared a state of emergency on homelessness in December 2022. Three years later the number of people sleeping outside has not meaningfully decreased.

The Inside Safe program was the city's primary response. By the end of 2025 it had spent more than $322 million. It served roughly 5,800 individuals. Of those, 1,243 were placed in permanent housing.

$322 million. 1,243 people in permanent housing. That is approximately $259,000 per person successfully housed in a city where the median home price is around $900,000.

The program spent $322 million and left more than 70,000 people still on the street.

Los Angeles has been declaring emergencies, launching programs, and spending money on homelessness for years. The population of people sleeping outside has not gone down. The spending has gone up.

At some point the question is not whether Los Angeles cares about its homeless population. It is whether the approach it has chosen is capable of actually solving the problem.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced temporary street co-namings honoring every player on the 2026 championship roster, creating a blue-and-orange route through Manhattan.

Each street was chosen to match a player’s jersey number, meaning you’ll find Jalen Brunson Way at West 11th Street, Karl-Anthony Towns at West 32nd Street, Josh Hart at West 3rd Street and more.

The commemorative signs have been installed along Sixth and Seventh Avenues and will remain up for the next four weeks, giving fans a chance to celebrate one of the greatest moments in Knicks history.
