A couple have been taken into custody after climbing to the very top of New York City's Empire State Building before getting engaged.
Russian nationals Angela Nikolau, 33, and Ivan Beerkus, 32, climbed the skyscraper's 1,454ft summit, where they unfurled a banner reading: "When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace."
Beerkus then got down on one knee and appeared to propose before the pair kissed and made their way back down.
The NYPD said two people were taken into custody. According to the BBC's US partner CBS, they face charges including burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, trespass and disorderly conduct.
The pair, who are known for carrying out high rise climbing stunts around the world, were reportedly at the top of the building for at least 10 minutes and documented the moment on social media.
