You’re losing a lot of power in your golf swing (Here’s why ⬇️)

Most of the amateurs I see, stop the turn in the backswing and attempt to finish their backswing by lifting their arms.

The only way to reach your potential in distance is if you get a proper shoulder turn. That is coiled all the way up to the top without any extra arm movement. Lifting your arms is a waste of energy and will likely cause problems in your golf swing rather than help.

Try this connection drill! ⬇️

Same drill that you see Tiger, and many other tour players do on a daily basis.

Start by grabbing a headcover or glove and placing it underneath your trail arm.

Throughout the whole swing you’re going to keep it tucked underneath your right armpit

If you lift your arms in any way (swinging over the top or getting across the line), the headcover will fall out of your armpit.

Not only does it help your backswing. It will also help you in the downswing and through the ball.

Speaking of backswings, you’ll notice there are a ton of different looks that you see out on tour but there is a position every tour player gets to in their swing.

Which is right before impact (P6 or “the slot”). The club shaft is parallel to the ground and the clubhead (ideally) is covering your hands when you look from down the line.

Again, this can be achieved by using your headcover or glove as well.

In the downswing, keep the pressure on the headcover, maintain that connection with your trail arm & your body.

From the “slot” position, all you need to focus on is rotating hard through the golf ball.

For this drill, I actually use this for the follow through in my golf swing.

If I stop my body and get disconnected through the ball, my hands flip over and I get a nasty hook going. With this drill it’s nice cause I get immediate feedback right away (the headcover falling out).

Give it a shot! 🔥

The 3 Easiest Ways to Stop Early Extending🔥 ⬇️

Drill #1: Feet together drill

1. Set up with your feet together ball in the middle of your stance
2. Hit the ball with 60% effort

This drill is good cause it forces you to swing easy, stay within your posture, and not early extend to feel like you’re adding power into the ball

Drill #2: Flamingo drill

1. Set up with your feet together and drop your right foot back behind your left.
2. Swing around your left leg and hit the golf ball.

This is a great drill because it quiets your lower body down and really forces you to rotate your chest and stay in your posture so you’re not early extending

Drill #3: Vessel Bag Drill

1. Grab your Vessel golf bag
2. Place it behind your left butt
3. When you swing I want you to press into the headcover behind you
4. Really exaggerate that press & keep that connection with the headcover throughout the whole swing.

This is a great drill because it allows you to really over exaggerate your swing. Feel what it takes to while giving you immediate feedback if you’re doing it right or wrong.

Keep it simple!
