Paris Saint-Germain have done it.

After years of heartbreak, superteams, and near-misses, the club has finally captured its first-ever Champions League title.

For the players, the fans, and the city it was supposed to be a night of pure euphoria.
A dream realized.
A curse broken.

But that dream turned into a nightmare.

As thousands flooded the streets of Paris in celebration, the mood shifted. Fights erupted. Crowds surged. Clashes with police spiraled out of control.

What started as joy descended into chaos.

Two lives were lost. Many were injured. Hundreds were arrested.

A historic night on the pitch became a tragedy in the streets.

While PSG hoist the most coveted trophy in European football, the city mourns.
A moment meant for jubilation now carries a deep, tragic shadow.

Our thoughts are with those affected on a night that was supposed to unite, not divide.

The Mavs are down bad.

Even after the infamous Luka-AD trade, nobody expected a start this rough.

Besides being riddled with injuries, their shooting has been abysmal.

They have seven players shooting below 30% from three (min. 10 attempts).

The drop off for some of those is wild compared to last season:

PJ Washington - 38.1 📉 27.5 3P%
Klay Thompson - 39.1 📉 26.4 3P%
Brandon Williams - 40.0 📉 18.8 3P%

Granted, the season is still young, and the numbers should stabilize.

But Dallas took a gamble in putting their rookie forward Cooper Flagg as their starting point guard.

A gamble that backfired.

Luka wasn't just a scorer; he could put his teammates in great spots offensively.

Exactly what today's Mavs are missing dearly.

This is insane. The OKC Thunder are absolutely DOMINATING the league, and their supposed starting five has played a grand total of...ZERO minutes together?!

Seriously, read that again.

ZERO. MINUTES.

We're witnessing something truly wild here.

⚡ The Thunder join the 1969-70 Knicks and the 2015-16 Warriors as the only teams in history to reach this mark.

They are actively threatening the 73-9 wins record, the one everyone thought was untouchable.

⚡ OKC is crushing opponents by an average of +16.2 points per game.

This pace is on track to smash their own NBA record of +12.9 set last season and is a higher margin than even the '96 Bulls or '16 Warriors had at this point.

⚡ Shai is playing so efficiently, the Thunder are blowing out teams so badly that he ranks outside the top 240 in total minutes played in the fourth quarter.

Yet, somehow, he still leads the entire league in clutch points scored. He's winning games before they even get close.

The injuries to key guys like Jalen Williams, Dort, and Hartenstein would have been a season killer for almost any other contender.

For OKC, it's simply a testament to their ridiculous depth.

We haven't even seen the final form of the Thunder, and they are already making history.

In 2024, Luka Dončić delivered one of the most 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 playoff performances the game has ever seen.

Points? His.
Assists? His.
Rebounds? His.
Steals? His.
Threes? His.

Luka led all postseason players in totals in 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗶𝘅 major statistical categories.

It was the kind of run that redefined what it meant to carry a team.
Luka wasn’t part of the system...he 𝘄𝗮𝘀 the system.

Then came 2025.
And everything changed.

The league does not revolve around one player anymore.

🔹 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is leading all scorers with 638 points.

That's 108 more than the runner-up Jalen Brunson.

🔹Karl-Anthony Towns, often overlooked in the league’s big-man conversations, is the leading rebounder with 209 boards.

Unless Chet grabs 24 rebounds over the next one or two games, KAT will add Top Rebounder of 2025 Playoffs to his list of accolades.

🔹 Tyrese Haliburton's dominating the assists department.

He has 192 assists so far. 2nd place Shai has 136. That's a 34% difference 🤯

🔹Alex Caruso, a role player by title but a star in impact, is leading all players in steals with 42 over 21 games.

Him and Shai (2nd with 37 steals) have really set the tone on defense for this young Thunder team.

🔹And then there's Aaron Nesmith, perhaps the most surprising name of all, drilling threes night after night.

His 57 threes are by far the most this postseason; Brunson and Haliburton both hit 48.

Five different categories.
Five different names.
Three different teams.

2025 didn’t crown a singular alpha.

And that makes Luka's insane 2024 run even more 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲.

We really need to talk about how Steph Curry has more career 3-pointers than free throws.

It makes zero sense when you actually think about it. Most superstars in NBA history live at the line to get their points, but Steph is out here doing the opposite.

It is the ultimate pure hooper stat.

To put that into perspective, look at James Harden. The Beard is a legend in his own right with 3,288 threes, but he has a massive 8,432 free throws.

Harden basically built an empire at the line while Steph decided to just never miss from the parking lot.

We are officially watching a one-of-one career. Are we ever going to see another superstar finish their time in the league with more threes than free throws?

It feels like we’re witnessing a record that might actually be more unbreakable than the 4,000 threes themselves.

The Bengals’ worst nightmare just became reality, Joe Burrow will miss the next 3 months.

Now Cincinnati is staring down a brutal question: stick with Jake Browning or bring in reinforcements? Browning has grit, but can he carry a contender through the heart of the AFC?

Names already swirling:

🔸Andy Dalton, the veteran who once led the Bengals to five straight playoff berths.
🔸Jimmy Garoppolo, battle-tested, playoff-proven, when healthy.
🔸Shedeur Sanders, the most intriguing player on the list
🔸Jameis Winston, fearless, gunslinger mentality, but risky.

The Bengals still have the weapons.

What they don’t have is clarity at quarterback.

The clock is ticking.

Do they ride it out with Browning, or make the bold move that could save their season?

Next season, the Rockets will enter the court with one of the most physically unique rosters in the NBA.

As pointed out by BradeauxNBA on X, the Rockets have several players with 7-foot-plus wingspans.

Giving Houston a clear advantage in both defense and rebounding.

Kevin Durant – 7’5”
Steven Adams – 7’4.5”
Clint Capela – 7’4.5”
Tari Eason – 7’2”
Jabari Smith Jr. – 7’1”
Amen Thompson – 7’0”
Jeff Green – 7’1”
Alperen Şengün – 7’0”
Josh Okogie – 7’0”

The cherry on top: Dorian Finney-Smith, with a 6’11.5” wingspan, rounds out a roster that will be difficult to attack over or around.

This combination of size, reach, and mobility gives the Rockets the potential to disrupt opponents.

With length across multiple positions, Houston can protect the rim, contest perimeter shots, and create matchup problems throughout the lineup.

The Rockets are a true League Pass team.

The Golden State Warriors enter the 2025-26 season with a guard room that feels both loaded…and logjammed.

When you stack it up, their backcourt rotation looks like this:

🔹 Seth Curry – 6’1”
🔹 Stephen Curry – 6’2”
🔹 Gary Payton II – 6’2”
🔹 De’Anthony Melton – 6’2”
🔹 Brandin Podziemski – 6’4”
🔹 Buddy Hield – 6’4”
🔹 Moses Moody – 6’5”

That’s seven guards, all 6’5” or shorter.

The good news? That’s a lot of shooting, spacing, and ballhandling.
The bad news? It’s also a lot of redundancy.

Steve Kerr has always leaned small, but this rotation leaves major questions:

🔹 How do you balance minutes between Steph, his brother Seth, and high-IQ guard Podziemski?
🔹 Does Melton’s defense overlap too much with GPII’s?
🔹 Where does Buddy Hield fit, especially if his shot isn’t falling?
🔹 Can Moody finally break through in a crowded guard mix?

Golden State’s roster screams skill, but at some point, size matters. Seven guys 6’5” and under in one rotation is asking for trouble on defense and rebounding.

The Warriors’ backcourt is deep, but also dangerously redundant.

Something has to give.

One of the most improbable stories in the history of sports just suffered the cruelest possible ending.

Haliburton has heard it all. Overrated, underrated, star, not a star…but at the end of the day he made it to Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

And he showed up.

Came out firing. Doing everything people said he couldn’t. Then he heard that fatal pop, and suddenly it was over.

It’s a long way back to this stage, and Haliburton’s path will be even longer. But for a guy who’s proven everyone wrong for 3 months straight…

We know he’ll be back.

Steph Curry quietly became the first player this season to hit 100 points.

Three games in and he’s already pulling away from the pack.
No free throw hunting, no easy whistles.

It’s pure vintage Curry, running circles, hitting deep shots, and breaking defenses with his movement.

Luka and SGA have only played two games so far, but they’re both right there with him.
Two young stars who look ready to carry the torch when the time finally comes.

Year 17, age 37, and he’s still moving like it’s his prime.
Curry hasn’t slowed down one bit. He just keeps finding new ways to cook defenders.

The NFL has always been a league where production doesn’t always equal pay, and few examples highlight that better than contrast between Micah Parsons and Kyle Van Noy 😳

Last year, Parsons recorded 12 sacks for the Dallas Cowboys. It was a strong season by most standards, but it wasn’t even the top mark on his own stat sheet from previous years.

Meanwhile, in Baltimore, Kyle Van Noy quietly put together one of the most efficient seasons of his career. At age 33 and playing on a short-term deal, he racked up 12.5 sacks, surpassing Parsons’ total and becoming one of the Ravens’ most reliable playmakers down the stretch.

And yet, when it came time for contracts, the market showed just how differently the league values these two defenders.

📝 Micah Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million deal, making him the highest-paid non-QB at $47 million per season.

📝 By contrast, Van Noy earns just $4.5 million per year.

The discrepancy is staggering: the player with more sacks last season makes almost ten times less than the one with fewer.

For now, Parsons has the contract and the spotlight, but Van Noy has the satisfaction of knowing that last season, at least, he outproduced the league’s newest $188 million man 🔥

Steph and LeBron could BOTH become NBA team owners after retiring.

In an interview with CNBC, Steph recently revealed what jobs he's considering post-retirement.

One big one? Owning an NBA team.

"[Michael Jordan] might be the only one in our generation who has sat in that seat and done it that way. The idea of being a part of an ownership group... that's something I'm excited about pursuing," Curry said. "So you'll see me in the seat somewhere down the road." (via CNBC)

He can't own a team as a player, so that'll have to wait. And Steph has already been involved in a number of business ventures as a player.

He's already the CEO of Thirty Ink - a conglomerate of businesses which include Unanimous Media. Curry plans on taking a bigger role in running the business after his NBA career ends.

He's an investor in Unrivaled, and he has interest in owning a WNBA team.

Steph even listed broadcasting as a potential option as well.

And 13 years down the line - he's thinking about a career playing on the PGA Tour Champions, the top tour for former PGA players over 50.

For now, though, he's still focused on trying to win another NBA title.

But post-retirement, it looks like Steph's got plenty of big things in store.

Ten years.
Three championships.
Countless screens.
Endless rebounds.
Zero complaints.

Kevon Looney was the 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭 of Golden State. The glue guy. The unsung hero.

The man who did the dirty work so the stars could shine.

Through injuries, dynasty runs, and rebuilds, he never folded. Just clocked in, clocked out, and kept the culture alive.

Now he's gone. Pelicans have signed him on a 2-year, $16M deal.

And yeah, the game moves on.
But seeing Looney in anything other than a Dubs jersey?
Man…that hits different.

Players leave. It's a business after all.
But for guys like Kevon Looney, it feels like they'll forever wear that one special jersey.

An all-European NBA superteam going 82-0. 👀

Picture this:

🔸Luka Doncic
🔸Giannis Antetokounmpo
🔸Nikola Jokic
🔸Victor Wembanyama
🔸Alperen Sengun

And off the bench? Rudy Gobert, Franz Wagner, Jusuf Nurkic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Dennis Schroder, Domantas Sabonis.

That’s size, skill, and basketball IQ stacked from top to bottom.

82-0 might be a stretch, but with this much talent…

That’s size, skill, and basketball IQ stacked from top to bottom. 82-0 might be a stretch, but with this much talent… Who could actually take them down?
Remember when the Clippers were known as “The Unction”? Yeah, the Warriors are running away with that nickname now.

With Al Horford joining Steph, Buddy Hield, Jimmy Butler and Draymond, Golden State’s projected starting five is now almost 36 years old on average. 𝘄𝗮𝘆 older than the Clippers’ 31.6.

At this point, it’s less about who’s younger and more about who can still get it done when it counts.

Either way…this might be the slowest, smartest, and most intense matchup in the league next year.
