Just watched a pretty girl with I’m assuming her boyfriend during boarding (Paris- JFK, we are delayed already) sit down in a business class pod, have him take photos, stand up, look at the photos. Now holding up the whole line. Not like the photos, sit down again. New photos - people getting annoyed. Sit up and walk to back of the plane for their economy seat. Don’t trust what you see on the internet kids

Over 750+ texts. Many calls and a very late night. Thank you all for the wonderful messages ❤️ FINALLY!! Just too cool of a night. Can’t thank @DaleJr @JRMotorsports enough for the belief to get this done. And @ConnorZilisch who is so wise beyond his years. Had so much fun getting to know him and go through this process. One day when he’s breaking more records at the highest level. I can say we won a race together 🤙
Admittedly it was quite entertaining to watch the early battle for the lead. The smaller cars are way better. Until they go to the onboard and it’s because the front car artificially loses 50% of its power 🤦♂️
OMG.. The Earnhardt doc on Prime is one of the greatest racing/NASCAR docs ever. I’ve just finished the 3rd ep Thank you @DaleJr , your whole family & all involved for making this. I’ve cried multiple times. You can’t help but feel that Dale Sr, although flawed like all humans, measures up to being the ultimate American folk hero, badass, success story that embodies every bit of the American dream. It’s a must watch
the NASCAR driver cool suit, like a bad relationship. never there for you when things get hot
Update: They let me know before the race I could keep the suit. Now I need @DaleJr & @ConnorZilisch to sign it (once it’s cleaned)
I’ve called the OReily series “Classic stock car racing” for years now but it does expose an issue for all racing series currently. Unlike other sports, motorsports is requested to entirely change its product every few years to satisfy OEMs and technological changes. The question is: Do you continue to change with them, or prepare a platform that can survive in an OEM-less future? Is that 10 years away? 20 years? Sprint cars, dirt late models etc are essentially this. Are they relevant technologically? No. Do they have a dedicated fan base? Yes. Then there’s the issue that the current car has a dwindling supply of parts and the manufacturers of those parts are disappearing. Thus I don’t envy NASCARs situation here. Invest in keeping things as they are by becoming involved in the parts and pieces that are relevant no where else? Or change with the whims of consumer preference for OEM support? Risking the very product your customers love. It’s a really tough spot. My heart says, just stay as is. Let the cup series change but keep one for your hardcore fan base. But I’m not staring at the spreadsheet data.
This may sound dumb, but there’s one thing in this video that shows why Max is so good. His hands: Look how little movement there is and how every movement has intention. Even with a sim wheel that probably has very little feel, there’s no unnecessary movement trying to “feel” Where the car is. This allows in any car for the tire to achieve its max slip angle. Takes less energy from the car and it’s movement in unnecessary directions Now you want this when driving fast and then you want @PatricioOWard fast hands when it goes wrong. He also has that. Damn impressive
Not everyday you get a call from @DaleJr asking if you can lend a hand for his race team. Honored to help out & thanks to @TheCW for letting me do this. Most of all, I’m happy for @ConnorZilisch to have such a speedy recovery. The kid is incredible
@SethEggert91 @markmartin Proving grounds out in Arizona (large 5 mile ovals the OEMs own). Teams wokld do aero testing on these. Could have been Clay Rogers I believe or variety of development drivers doing the testing. I did a lot of this for Penske
If you wonder what it cost to race in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (wow- first time I’ve written that) This breakdown is incredibly thorough👇
Yikes… talked to Cody leaving the hotel outside the track. He was pretty shook up, but seemed ok
Very sad day for this sport and the Henderson family. Charlie, his whole family & this race team have meant so much to me over the last decade. When I first got to Henderson motorsports I’ll never forget looking at a banner in their race shop full of the amazing drivers who had driven for them since the 70s. True hero’s of the sport I wasn’t sure if my name would make it up on that banner but by the time we got our first win, I knew I had a home. Charlie and his family In some of my tougher moments in my racing career, have always been there to give me a shot and truly believed in me when many others didn’t. And together we have done some incredible things! And It was all led by Charlie, who would always push us to make the cars faster, he’d ask us incessantly, “what do you need to win?” He was so dedicated even when it wasn’t in his best financial interest! But no matter what he would always text me ahead of races including this year starting about 3 months before Daytona, he would send me morning text that said “We will Daytona!” A couple months later we did. Unfortunately he wasn’t there but seeing him afterwards, that meant the world to him. Of all his racing he wanted to win Talladega, Daytona and Bristol. He got those. Thank you Charlie for being the incredible, supportive, passionate racer that myself and many other racers owe a debt of gratitude for your support and love of racing.
