On July 29, 2024, the Cardinals traded Tommy Edman as part of a three-team deal that sent the infielder to his home state team, the Dodgers.

Since then, Edman has won:

🏆 National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player
🏆 a World Series

And, Edman's latest CLUTCH hit on Thursday currently has the Dodgers one win away from yet another appearance in the Fall Classic 🙌

Shohei Ohtani is not the only Japanese Dodger who needs Shohei Ohtani-levels of love.

That’s no disrespect to Ohtani. The soon-to-be 4-time MVP is the GOAT. There’s no denying that.

But the 2025 World Series belonged to 1 person: Shohei’s countryman Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

The Dodgers paid Yamamoto $325 million a couple years ago for a reason, and his performance this year was worth every penny.

He’ll likely be awarded his first Cy Young in the next few weeks. He was already named World Series MVP. And he did so in record fashion, tying an all-time mark with 3 wins in the 7-game series, including Ws in both Game 6 and 7.

It reminded many of the legendary performance by Hall of Famer Randy Johnson for the Diamondbacks in the 2001 World Series.

It’s actually freaky how similar the 2 pitchers were...

JOHNSON
🔸3-0 record
🔸17.1 innings pitched
🔸2 ER
🔸1.04 ERA
🔸19 Ks
🔸1 complete game

YAMAMOTO
🔸3-0 record
🔸17.2 inning pitched
🔸2 ER
🔸1.02 ERA
🔸15 Ks
🔸1 complete game

Yes, Shohei gets all the attention. And with good reason.

But it’s time Yamamoto gets just as much love, because his performance this season was every bit as legendary.

The Los Angeles Dodgers invested heavily in Shohei Ohtani.

$700 million over 10 years, to be exact.

That investment paid off REAL QUICK.

According to former ESPN reporter Joon Lee, the Dodgers already made the $700M back in Shohei's first year with the team.

Ticket sales,
Merchandise,
Marketing deals overseas,
You name it, the Dodgers got it.

When you have the top player playing in the top market,
Everyone gets paid top dollar.
Player is happy,
Ownership is happy,
The league is happy.

“Is Mike Trout ruining his legacy by staying with the Angels?” is a popular question asked by baseball fans.

After all, the star outfielder has seemingly done it all:

⚾American League Rookie of the Year
⚾3x American League Most Valuable Player
⚾11x All-Star
⚾3x MLB First Team
⚾9x Silver Slugger
⚾2x American League Hank Aaron Award

EXCEPT WIN THE WORLD SERIES 😔

Through it all, Trout has committed his loyalty to the Angels.

“When I signed that contract, I'm loyal. I want to win a championship here. The overall picture of winning a championship or getting to the playoffs here is bigger satisfaction [than] bailing out and just taking an easy way out. So, I think that's been my mindset,” said the Angels outfielder, referring to his massive 12-year, $426 million extension in March 2019 to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. That deal will run until 2030, and has a full no-trade clause.

Meanwhile, his former Angels teammate from 2018 to 2023, Shohei Ohtani, continues to amaze baseball, specifically, Dodger fans, with his two-way superstardom as a pitcher and a hitter. So far, Ohtani is 2-for-2 in his trips to the World Series as a Dodger.

Trout has yet to experience a single win in the postseason.

Do you think it’s high time for the 34-year-old Trout to waive his no-trade clause? 🤔

It’s starting to feel like Freddie Freeman will be remembered more as a Dodgers than a Brave.

He gave 12 seasons to Atlanta, won an NL MVP, carried the franchise to a World Series, and became the face of that team.

But ever since landing in Los Angeles, Freeman’s career has reached another level.

With the Dodgers, he’s added two more rings, a World Series MVP, and cemented himself as part of what’s shaping up to be the new dynasty in baseball.

The dominance, the consistency, the October moments, they’ve all come wearing Dodger blue.

It’s wild to think he’s only been in LA for four seasons, yet his legacy there already feels larger than the decade he spent in Atlanta.

When it’s all said and done, Freddie Freeman might go down not just as a great Brave, but as one of the all-time Dodgers.

A superstar carrying a Toronto team in the Postseason ✔️
All the way to a championship ❓

Nevertheless, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. continues to rake as he and the Blue Jays continue their dominance in Seattle to tie up the American League Championship Series 💪

The Dodgers are headed back to the World Series.

And their pitching staff carried them there in historic fashion.

Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, and Shohei Ohtani combined for a 0.63 ERA across 28.2 innings in the NLCS, holding the Brewers to just six total hits.

It was pure control and consistency.

Every start building off the last, every inning tightening the grip.

This wasn’t just talent winning out, it was execution, depth, and belief in a rotation built for October.

Now, with the arms rested and the momentum real, the Dodgers are four wins away from finishing the job.

Corey Seager might be heading back to Hollywood, and the league should probably start panicking ⚾

The Rangers are reportedly open to shedding payroll, and yes, that includes listening on Corey Seager.
And if that door cracks open even a little? The Los Angeles Dodgers are 100% the team that would kick it wide open.

Just imagine this top of the order:

🔹 Ohtani
 🔹 Freeman
 🔹 Seager
 🔹 Betts

That’s not a lineup, that’s a cheat code.

And don’t forget: Seager won WS MVP with the Dodgers in 2020 and WS MVP with the Rangers in 2023. A reunion would be the definition of a blockbuster move for a team chasing a three-peat.

The fit is ridiculous, too: Seager at SS, Mookie at 2B, and long-term 3B insurance once 2027 rolls around.

If this actually happens?
Baseball might need a mercy rule.

There are bad trades, then there are BAD trades.

In the MLB, none may be worse than the Mets silently giving away Pete Crow-Armstrong (PCA) to the Cubs.

After being acquired from the Mets for 2 months of Javy Baez in 2021, the former 1st-round pick is turning his 1st full season into a case for MVP.

One-third of the way into 2025, PCA is putting up Shohei-esque numbers.

⚾ 14 HRs (8th in MLB)
⚾ 48 RBI (3rd)
⚾ 41 runs (3rd)
⚾ 14 steals (6th)
⚾ 3.1 WAR (2nd)

Projected over a full season, those stats would’ve ranked him in the Top 5 in each category last year, with a potential 144 RBI leading all of baseball.

Oh, and he’s already the best centerfielder in the game at the age of 23.

The full body of work isn’t even there yet.

But if this is what Year 1 looks like, we're sure no lopsided trade can come close to the Mets giving the Cubs an MVP candidate basically for free.

It’s over.

Clayton Kershaw ’s time in Major League Baseball has come to an end.

And he walks away the only way a legend should: as a champion.

In his final appearance, Kershaw did the impossible: escaping a bases-loaded jam in extra innings of the World Series.

The last pitch of his career kept the dream alive.

The Dodgers went on to take the series, and Kershaw left the mound one final time, on top of the baseball world.

3× World Series Champion (’20, ’24, ’25)
3× Cy Young Winner
2014 MVP
11× All-Star
2011 Triple Crown

451 GS | 223 Wins | 3,052 Ks | 2.53 ERA

For nearly two decades, he was the Dodgers.

Clayton Kershaw leaves the game the same way he played it.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially broken the sport.

With the news of Kyle Tucker signing a massive 4-year, $240 million deal, the Dodgers has completed what is undeniably the greatest roster ever assembled in the history of Major League Baseball.

Just look at the 2026 Opening Day projected lineup.

Shohei Ohtani
Mookie Betts
Freddie Freeman
Kyle Tucker
Will Smith
Max Muncy
Teoscar Hernandez
Andy Pages
Tommy Edman

And this is a five-man rotation of pure aces:

Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Blake Snell
Shohei Ohtani
Tyler Glasnow
Roki Sasaki

And if you somehow survive 8 innings against that rotation?

You have to face Edwin Diaz.

This is no longer a baseball team; it’s an Avengers assembly.

The idea of Mike Trout moving to the Braves might be a major talking point as the 2026 trade deadline approaches.

With Trout playing at an elite level again this season, his trade value is the highest it has been in years.

For the Angels, trading him now could prevent a repeat of the Shohei Ohtani situation, where a star player leaves without the team getting anything in return.

By moving Trout now, they could jumpstart a rebuild with several top-tier prospects and stars.

However, a deal with Atlanta would be complicated.

Trout is owed about $35 million a year through 2030.

The Braves usually avoid these kinds of massive veteran contracts, so the Angels would likely have to pay a large portion of that salary to make the deal happen.

If the Angels agree to pay part of the salary, they will expect a massive return.

This would likely cost the Braves their best young pitchers, such as Spencer Strider or JR Ritchie.

Adding Trout to an outfield that already includes Ronald Acuña Jr. and Michael Harris II would give the Braves one of the strongest lineups in baseball history.

While the Braves usually prefer to build around younger players on long-term deals, they have shown they will trade for a veteran if it significantly increases their chances of winning a World Series.

In today’s edition of “strange, but true.”

Manny Ramirez last played for the Red Sox in the 2008 MLB season. Part of his salary is still paid by Boston even after he was traded to the Dodgers.

Shohei Ohtani, who signed a massive 10-year, $700 million contract ahead of the 2024 season, had much of his salary deferred. He will be paid $68 million per year from 2034 until 2043.

It was reportedly Ohtani’s idea to help the Dodgers continue to build a competitive roster for the duration of his contract. He won the World Series in 2024, his first season in Los Angeles 😎

The Giants might be sitting on a generational gem in Bryce Eldridge.

The 16th overall pick came up as a two-way monster, and yeah, if that sounds familiar, it should. Big dude. Big talent. Shohei Ohtani vibes. As a teenager, Eldridge even picked up the nickname “the American Ohtani,” a nod to his rare ability to dominate both on the mound and at the plate.

Even Giants president of baseball ops Buster Posey is all in, calling Eldridge a potential franchise changer for the next 10 to 15 years. That’s not hype… that’s belief.

And when Eldridge got a taste of The Show? The power was loud. We’re talking balls that would’ve been homers in almost any park not named Oracle.

Here’s why the hype is real:

🔹.873 OPS across three minor league seasons
🔹54 home runs
🔹939 at-bats
🔹Reached Triple-A as one of the Giants’ fastest risers
🔹Power that plays anywhere, even if Oracle Park tries to nerf it

So what’s next? That’s where it gets spicy. Eldridge has been playing first base, but with Rafael Devers already locked in there, the Giants might have a wild decision to make. Keep the bat for the long haul… or flip elite talent to beef up the rotation in a pitching-first system.

Either way, Bryce Eldridge isn’t just a prospect. He’s a problem, in the best way⚾️

The Philadelphia Phillies just gave Nick Castellanos the ultimate parting gift: a $20 million check to play for someone else.

In one of the wildest financial moves of the 2026 offseason, the Phillies released the veteran slugger, choosing to eat the final year of his massive contract rather than keep him in the clubhouse. Their loss? San Diego’s massive gain.

The Padres officially swooped in, signing Castellanos for the $780,000 league minimum. While Philly foots the bill for his luxury lifestyle, San Diego gets a 250-HR veteran for the price of a backup catcher.

"Change of scenery is an understatement," one scout said. "He’s basically playing for free in a lineup that needs his power."

Whether he’s at first base, DH, or the outfield, Nick is headed to Petco Park with a chip on his shoulder and a bank account that’s already won the season. The Phillies are paying for the past; the Padres are betting on the future.

The @mlb trade deadline is over a month away; by this time, teams know which areas they need to address.

Baseball insider Jeff Passan brings up an intriguing scenario involving Walker Buehler, who signed a one-year, $21 million deal with the struggling @redsox, who are, as of posting time, 10 games out of 1st place in the American League East standings.

Buehler was a big part of the @dodgers World Series championship run in 2024, even recording the final out in Game 5 at the @yankees’ home.

Los Angeles currently has 15 pitchers on the injured list, including:

❌Tyler Glasnow
❌Michael Kopech
❌Blake Snell
❌Kirby Yates
❌Roki Sasaki
❌Blake Treinen
❌Brusdar Graterol
