Hello, Georgetown! It’s been 14 years in the making—and our first-ever store is officially open. The space is more than just a shop—it’s the culmination of years of adventure, craftsmanship, curation, and storytelling brought to life. And we couldn’t think of a better place to kick off Huckberry in-real-life. “I grew up just a few miles outside D.C.,” says Huckberry co-founder Andy. “Georgetown was where I fell in love with adventure and gear—and where I always dreamed of opening our first store.” So come see what we’ve been building. The vinyl is spinning, the coffee is free, and the gear is good. The store is open 10am-8pm Monday through Saturday, and 11am-7pm on Sunday. From field to face. About two and a half years ago, my buddy and I woke up around 8 in the back of his sprinter after 3 days at the darkstar jamboree dead shows. I had a flight to LA for work at 11. We were still at the campground. I hadn’t packed. I was like, “dude, I need a shower in a bag.” Two good things happened that day. I made the flight and BOON was born. We didn’t invent a shower in a bag but we did make the next best thing. My buddy, Chris, owns some restaurants and his philosophy there is all about ingredients. The fresher the better. Farm to table. We applied the same philosophy here. Field to face. All natural ingredients. plant based, botanical and essential oils. made within driving distance of our homes. We both travel a ton and weren’t thrilled with personal care when we do. What we made is everything we were looking for and nothing extraneous. Face wash, body wash and face serum made from blue tansy, sea buckthorn, shea oil and jojoba. This product is rich in antioxidants, anti inflammatories, and soothes redness and irritation. It’s concentrated so you don’t need to use a whole lot and allows you to travel light. We’ve even included the Dopp kit, so all you need to do is add a toothbrush and toothpaste and you’re good to go. We think it’s the best face and body wash ever and the serum afterwards feels amazing on my face, and I rub it through my beard and my hair. After doing all our research, we know we made this as well or better than anyone out there, we just realized they were charging too much. Taking care of yourself shouldn’t give you anxiety as the bottle nears empty. We’re stoked to bring you this incredible product at an incredible value. — 0.5 oz lime juice
— 1.5 oz masa milk (blend and strain corn cob + kernel stock, sweetened with coconut and condensed milk)
— 1.5 oz tequila blanco (using @lalospirits, of course)
