Trump’s response was not a press conference. It was not a formal statement. He went on Truth Social and shared an AI generated image of himself as Jesus Christ, crown of thorns and all. Then he attacked the Pope for being soft on crime.

The Pope, for context, is 88 years old and has spent his papacy advocating for migrants, the poor, and peaceful diplomacy. Trump called his criticism “not a very nice thing to say.” He then reminded his followers that Rome has a crime problem.

This is not the first time Trump has compared himself to Jesus. During his 2024 campaign, similar imagery circulated at rallies with his apparent approval. But posting it himself, directly in response to the Pope, is a different tier entirely.

Roughly 1.4 billion people on Earth are Catholic. The United States has 70 million of them. Many voted for Trump.

The Vatican has not responded. There is not much to say when someone responds to the Pope by posting a picture of themselves as the Son of God.

Well, today’s guest is @ivankatrump - someone who’s lived much of her life in the public eye, from childhood through business, and all the way to the White House.

From a young age, her life was anything but normal. She grew up surrounded by media attention and moments that most people could never relate to.

At just nine years old, she was dealing with reporters outside her school during her parents’ divorce - an experience she says shaped how she saw trust and the world around her.

As she got older, that pressure didn’t go away. She built a career in real estate before stepping into government and working at the highest level during one of the most intense political periods in recent history.

I found myself coming back to something we discussed around how living under that kind of scrutiny forces you to get really clear on who you are, because if you don’t, the world will define it for you.

And a lot of this conversation comes back to that idea.

Being intentional with your time and your decisions, and even what you allow into your mind, because without that, it’s very easy to get pulled in a direction that isn’t really yours.

I wanted to know:

- What is power really like behind closed doors?

The 56 year old son of former President Joe Biden made the announcement in a video posted to Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5 Instagram account on Thursday, saying he received a call from the YouTube creator and social media commentator asking him to appear on his upcoming Channel 5 Carnival Tour later this month. “I think he’s trying to organise a cage match, me versus Eric and Don Jr.,” Biden said. “I told him I’d do it, 100 percent in if he can pull it off. And if he can’t, I’m still coming.”

The tour is scheduled to take place across Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque from April 24 to 26 and features crowd sourced talent acts, rap battles, musicians, and documentary screenings. It is unclear whether either of the Trump sons will accept the challenge.

Markets are popping champagne this morning thanks to a tentative ceasefire with Iran.

Last night, President Trump took to Truth Social to announce a suspension of US attacks on Iran for a period of two weeks. As part of the arrangement, Iran agreed to open the crucial Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as long as the ceasefire remains in place. Ships will be allowed to travel through the waterway in coordination with Iran’s Armed Forces. Israel had also reportedly agreed to the terms of the deal.

At the opening bell, the Dow surged more than 1,000 points, oil posted one of its steepest drops in decades, and bond yields slid as fears of a prolonged energy shock eased. Despite the immediate relief, resolution to the oil crunch will still take some time.

Brent prices may have plunged more than 15%, but supply chains remain tricky with tankers only trickling back through the Gulf and airlines warning jet fuel shortages could linger for months. Even as ships begin to move again, the lag between crude extraction, transport, and refining means energy markets probably won’t be snappin’ back overnight.
