One of the places that’s been very high on my list of places to try is @jeffstexasstylebbq in Marysville after hearing from so many people that they have some of the best BBQ in Washington! And while I still have a lot of spots to try, Jeff’s is now my current favorite spot for BBQ, we’d happily drive all the way from Tacoma just to eat here 😆 They specialize in Central style Texas barbecue, where the high quality meats truly shine. The meats are slow cooked using post oak from Texas, and when I asked what the seasoning are, I was surprised to learn it’s just salt, pepper and smoke!🤯 (and of course, Jeff’s awesome bbq skills) 🔥 Definitely get the brisket, smoked pork belly, turkey breast (trust me, I don’t love white meat but this is somethinf else!🤤), pork ribs and sausage. We loved all the sides too, especially their smoked bbq beans that’s on the sweeter side which I really enjoyed 💯 They also have daily specials, so definitely follow them to see the exciting things they’re serving up! Lumpia lovers, this place is for us!! Northwest Lumpia in Tacoma WA is a drive thru spot where you can get lumpia! You can order either frozen packs ($13 plus tax) or hot packs where they cook it for you ($15 plus tax) and you get 12 pieces per pack! It takes around 15mins if you want them to cook it. There’s also over 10 flavors to choose from, ranging from beef, chicken, pork, veggie and dessert!🤯 I’ve never seen this many lumpia flavors before and it’s just so fun!! So excited that @SeoulBowl.Seattle has finally opened near me, and at a place I least expected it to be- Tacoma Mall food court!!🤩 I’ve always been a fan of their build your own KBBQ bowl, we love the spicy pork, but I was also surprised to see they have korean fried chicken, and korean fried chicken sandwich which we both also enjoyed 😋 The chicken is fried as you order, so expect a bit of a wait, but it’s definitely worth the wait!! It’s served with adobo rice, egg and achara. I also really loved the longganisa, as it’s one of my favorite filipino food, and I love how they cook theirs over fire so you get a nice char 🤤 If you like ube, they’ve got pancakes, waffles and french toast to choose from. And the best part?
