In 2011, Frank Ocean responded to a Tumblr prompt asking him to explain his current life to his five years younger self.

The letter touched on heartbreak, jobs, self doubt, and the uncertainty of chasing a dream. Despite everything, he reminded himself that the setbacks were temporary and that persistence would eventually pay off.

More than a decade later, it remains a powerful reminder that some of the hardest chapters in life can become the reason everything works out.

Hummus 🍴Recipe below and all my recipes are on my website - Easy Recipe Gang.🍴

Homemade hummus recipe with chickpeas, tahini and lemon for an easy budget-friendly dip 🧄

I make Hummus on repeat because it is cheap, quick and so much better than store bought. Hummus is one of those easy basics I always want in the fridge for wraps, snack plates and easy entertaining. Save this for later.

INGREDIENTS

Homemade hummus
What you need
400g tin chickpeas
1 garlic clove
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 tbsp tahini
1/4 cup water

METHOD

What you do
I drain the chickpeas and discard the liquid.
I add the chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini and water to my food processor.
I whizz everything for about 2 minutes until super smooth and creamy.
If it looks a little thick, I add a splash more water and blitz again.
That is it. Creamy, budget friendly homemade hummus for a fraction of the price and ready in minutes. Perfect with veggies, crackers or spread on wraps. ✨

This is one of those easy recipes I keep coming back to because it saves money and tastes so good.

His first day of church….. and this is what I’ll teach him about it.

Thinking about what I hope to teach him about faith, God, and the role church will play in his life.

I’ll teach you that you don’t need a church building to believe in God. You’ll find him everywhere. But church is one of the places I go to show God I’m willing to serve His children.

I’ll teach you that church isn’t about what you get from it—it’s about what you give to it.

Salvation doesn’t come from sitting in a pew. Faith is shown through action. Through service. Through sacrifice. Through how you treat the people around you.

I’ll teach you not to attend church because of the people there, and not to leave because of them either. People are imperfect. God is not. Go where the Spirit is felt. Stay where you are called to serve.

You’ll be judged by believers and non-believers alike. Don’t build your life around their opinions. Build it around what you know is right in your heart.

I’ll teach you to have faith that stands on its own. Faith independent of your friends. Independent of your leaders. INDEPENDENT OF EVEN ME, your father. Because true faith must be your own.

I’ll teach you that true spirituality is service. That the strongest people I know, spiritual giants, are the ones who quietly lift the burdens of others.

You’ll find God in church sometimes. You’ll find Him outside of church many times. Seek Him in all things. In your work. In your family. In nature. In hardship. In gratitude. In service.

Church was never meant to be about what you can get from it. Maybe it’s about what you can give to it.

Most of all, I’ll teach you to seek the TRUST of God more than the APPROVAL of people. Do what is right whether you’re praised for it or criticized for it. Stand for truth even when you stand alone. Seek TRUST OVER LOVE. TRUST OVER BEING LIKED. God loves everyone, but he only trust a few…. Be the man he TRUST.

And no matter where life takes you—whether you’re in a church, a boardroom, a classroom, or a bar—be the spiritual leader that place needs.

That’s what I’ll teach my son. Stand on your faith, even if you stand alone, and I promise you it’ll pay off.

YES I DID IT!!! 😍

Today was a big one, @lambournegolfclub hosted the @thepga Professional Championship qualifier, and I knew I wanted this. It’s one of the biggest events for a PGA pro all year. Coming off a shaky performance at the Midland Open yesterday, I was feeling the nerves

The round started strong… My new @titleist GTS3 driver felt like a rocket launcher! After weeks on short, tight courses where I couldn’t fully unleash it, today I let it fly… and did it pay off! I was striking it beautifully, pairing it with a confident putting performance. By the 14th hole, I was four under par, leading the pack

Then came the last stretch. The heat and a long run of travel caught up with me. I stumbled with three bogeys on 15, 16, and 17 and in those moments I didn’t trust the game plan. But I pulled myself together for a solid par on the last, closing at one under (71), good enough for second place and a ticket to Slaley Hall!

It could’ve been even better, but that’s golf. After multiple rounds over par lately, it feels amazing to be back in the red. Lambourne was in great shape, and I’m thrilled to be heading to one of the season’s biggest stages. Trust the process, let’s keep going!

Open Qualifying less than 4 weeks away 😬😬

the baby, toddler & early pre-k years are HARD & exhausting. the pre-teen years are too but you begin to see the fruit of your hard work…you get to see the humans they are becoming & it is so amazing. you put in that work, advocated for them, never stopped loving. and to begin to see a new sweet relationship with your kids as they get older is so special. if you’re in the trenches of baby/toddlerhood just know it DOES pay off, everything you do. all those sleepless nights and the nights you wonder if they will ever go to sleep on their own. the attitudes that are sassy beyond measure or maybe your child keeps you constantly on your toes and you feel like you can never sit down. you are doing amazing. ask the holy spirit for help. he will give you strength & remember it does get better🩷

Americans are carrying a record $1.25 trillion in credit-card debt, the highest Q1 balance since tracking began in 1999.⁣
⁣
And more of them are falling behind on payments than at any point since the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, per NY Fed data. The share of credit-card balances that are at least 90 days delinquent hit 13.1% in Q1, while average card interest rates have climbed from 14.6% in early 2022 to roughly 21% today, per a WSJ report. As inflation continues to squeeze household budgets, many consumers are prioritizing rent, mortgages, car payments, and utilities, leaving credit-card bills at the bottom of the pile.⁣
⁣
And the problem isn't confined to low-income households. Delinquency rates have risen across income brackets, and credit counselors say more middle-class families are using credit cards to cover everyday expenses rather than discretionary spending.⁣
⁣
There is a silver lining, though. Many borrowers have found relief through credit-counseling programs that negotiated lower interest rates and structured repayment plans. But even those who paid off their balances say the experience left them feeling financially fragile, a reminder that for many Americans, one unexpected expense could reignite the debt cycle.⁣

EveryDollar users Nathan & Brittany reached the Debt-Free Stage after paying off $73,500 in just 14 months.

Their wake-up call came after owing the IRS money for the first time and needing new tires within days of each other. Feeling completely overwhelmed, they decided something had to change. They cut up their credit cards, got serious about actually following a budget, and worked nonstop... teaching extra hours, DoorDashing, and picking up side work while communicating about every single dollar.

Now they’re debt-free, no longer living paycheck to paycheck, and proof that intentionality and teamwork can change everything in a short amount of time.

Their key to success: “Be intentional. Communicate about everything. Make the hard choices.”

For today's #RayBanMetaChallenge video, I wanted to highlight these classic JDM Enkei 3pc wheels from my collection.

They are super rare, and period correct for the early "Millenium Era" builds because the stickers on the back of the wheels are dated 2003. 😍

Tag a friend with an E36 or E39 that would be interested in JDM wheels!

I have 5x120 to 5x114.3 adapters, so I was planning to run them on my black IS300, but I have some debt I want to pay off.

The exact size is 17x9.5J +44, located in Las Vegas but I can bring to Socal.

Congratulations to Bryant Tisdale Jr. for ranking among the top 8th-grade athletes at the Under Armour National Track Meet and being the only 13-year-old on the list!

We are incredibly proud of his personal record of 53.03. His hard work, dedication, and determination continue to pay off. To compete at this level against some of the nation’s best athletes and earn this recognition at such a young age is an amazing accomplishment. If you get to the money inside this soap, you can keep it. But is it really worth the effort?

Realizing how hard we are willing to work and what we are willing to put ourselves through, just for the chance at a little extra cash is a crazy reality check for our own money management. We often spend hours trying to figure out how to make a quick buck, but we completely ignore the simple smart money moves that could actually build long-term wealth. If you are constantly chasing small payouts without a solid personal budget, you are going to stay stuck living paycheck to paycheck. The amount of effort you put into grinding for small cash should be the same amount of effort you put into your financial literacy. True wealth building isn't about biting into soap; it's about investing, understanding your cash flow, and making sure your money is working for you. The ultimate goal of financial independence is to build a life where you never have to scramble for a payout again.

This video is proudly sponsored by FinanceBuzz, the ultimate platform to simplify your financial decisions. If you want to stop grinding for pennies and start optimizing your net worth, they make it incredibly easy to compare personal financing options, find the best debt consolidation loans to crush high interest, or even do a proper cash back credit cards comparison to earn rewards without any of the hassle. It is the smartest way to protect your cash and grow your wealth.

I challenged myself to restock my entire kitchen with absolutely no money, and the result is exactly why so many people feel completely broke right now.

Joking about an empty fridge is funny until you realize this "restock" is exactly what the end of the month looks like when you are stuck living paycheck to paycheck. A simple trip to the grocery store has gotten so expensive that it can completely blow up your personal budget. Ignoring where your cash is going and letting bad spending habits take over is exactly how you end up with one single egg and a Diet Coke for dinner. Getting serious about your financial literacy means tracking your expenses and taking control of your cash flow so you can actually afford to invest in your future. True wealth building starts with the basics: making smart money moves to outpace inflation and stop the financial bleed. The ultimate goal of financial independence is to open your fridge and never have to stress about how you are going to pay for your next meal.

This car crash made history, and you won't believe who was behind the wheel. In 2011, this famous actor was involved in the most expensive car insurance claim of all time.

Realizing that Mr. Bean's insurance company paid nearly $1.4 million just to repair his McLaren F1, a bill that could have bought five brand-new supercars today, s a wild story, but it’s a great reality check for our own personal finance. While most of us aren't crashing multi-million dollar collectibles, ignoring the details of your insurance policies and financial protection is one of the most dangerous bad spending habits you can have. Your money education needs to include a strong defense strategy; otherwise, a single accident or emergency can completely wipe out your wealth building progress. True financial independence isn't just about earning more money; it's about making smart money moves to protect what you already have so you never find yourself living paycheck to paycheck because of an unexpected disaster.

This video is proudly sponsored by FinanceBuzz, the ultimate platform to simplify your financial decisions.
