I’ve never tried our Peanut Butter squares… until today. 14 years of living with a peanut allergy meant I never had the chance to taste the bars Lez, Nick and I have spent the last 7 years of our life building. But recently my allergist (doctor) told me that I had actually outgrown my allergy to peanuts and certain tree nuts. And so, I parked outside a hospital just in case something went wrong, and I tried the bars I’ve built my life around… Watch to the end to see what I thought. (DISCLAIMER: This is not medical advice, it’s simply my personal experience. Before trying our product, I got tested and retested several times over the last 2 years with my allergist before we confirmed I was no longer allergic to certain tree nuts and peanuts. After that, I went to try peanuts and certain tree nuts in a controlled environment (monitored) in the hospital with my allergist and other medical professionals. Only after that, was I cleared to slowly re introduce peanuts and certain tree nuts back in to my life. Everyone’s allergies are different. Always consult your doctor or allergist before making any decisions about allergens. I grew up chasing the checklist—grades, comfort, the “right” path. I just wanted to fit in and play it “safe.” Until failing at it showed me that I’ll never win by being someone I’m not. When you lean into your authenticity, you win. Success isn’t a checklist; it’s choosing your path and moving forward while believing in yourself. Fear used to block me. Now I use fear to propel me forward.
