I grew up chasing the checklist—grades, comfort, the “right” path. I just wanted to fit in and play it “safe.” Until failing at it showed me that I’ll never win by being someone I’m not. When you lean into your authenticity, you win. Success isn’t a checklist; it’s choosing your path and moving forward while believing in yourself. Fear used to block me. Now I use fear to propel me forward.

For the past decade, I’ve been reading Entrepreneur Magazine and Entrepreneur.com to get inspired, to learn, and to feel connected to the entrepreneurship community. I’d read the stories and think: maybe one day I’ll be in the print magazine… maybe one day I’ll get to contribute too. That day is today. Both dreams came true. The article dives into one of the most pivotal moments of my journey: In year one of @middaysquares , I stepped down as CMO. It wasn’t working and staying in that role would’ve held us back. So I pivoted. I became the Rainmaker: Building relationships with media, investors, retailers, new team members, and bringing the brand to life in the loudest way possible. It’s not just a feature, it’s a full-circle moment.Proof that betting on your strengths is always worth it. Even if it means changing the plan.

And in that moment, I’ve got two options: Step back or step in. What I’ve learned is simple: every time I step in, something happens. An opportunity. A win. A lesson. Always something.
