Most business owners are taught to focus on one thing:

Growth.

More revenue. More customers. More employees.

But after working with thousands of owners, I've realized there's a bigger question most people never stop to ask:

What is all this growth building toward?

If you spend 10, 20, or 30 years building a great company, what options do you actually have at the end of that journey?

For a long time, the answer has been surprisingly limited.

I have owned storage units for 28 years. You know what I look at every single month?

Ins. Outs. And increases.

Because all value is driven off of one thing. Occupancy.

It does not matter if it is storage units or a golf course outside Clemson. 

The question is always the same. What is the maximum this asset can produce and what is the fastest way to get there.

Sometimes the answer surprises you. And sometimes ripping out nine holes and building senior living is the most obvious move in the room.
