if you want your content to look more cinematic, this is for you! these are some things I’ve learned along the way that helped get me started with whatever I had. 📸✨ Some extra tips: 1. Record in 24fps and 1/50 shutter speed. It’s what’s used in traditional movies so we associate the look with it feeling more cinematic (it gives it some natural motion blur). 2. BUT for instagram, change your editing software timeline to 30fps before dragging the 24fps footage in. Instagram will convert everything to 30fps and it somehow looks worse when they do it imo. 3. Good lighting will make up for a cheap camera or just a phone. If you’re indoors, shoot with a window or a lamp in the background, and a bigger light in front.

dreamy ghibli vibes ✨ color grading on davinci resolve is just so nice 😭 this was one of the first things i ever colored and i remember spending at least an hour per shot (thankfully i am so much faster now), but still one of my favorite reels #cinematic #filmmaking

An event in april, creator camp, made me realize that there are more people and places that are worth an open mind to, rather than unsustainably trying to live somewhere I’m not. I’ve started traveling elsewhere for a change, which is something I’ve never had the chance to do much before and am finding creatives around austin, and everywhere. it’s a big world, isn’t it I’ll see you around friends 🫶 be back next month so give me a big hug. editing a YT video about learning to let go of a home. to everyone from the last 3 years, thank you for being my home ❤️. when I left a career and came to LA, I wanted and fought for a creative community. so leaving to austin for a great creative opportunity has been so difficult that my stubborn ass has been flying back and forth every other week for 7 months just because I refused to let go. at a certain point, it just became routine. sorry if I lied and for the lack of a proper goodbye.
