I met my husband on a golf course when we were randomly paired to play a round. Neither of us expected it. And that accidental, real, electric connection made me realize something: the best relationships don’t start with an algorithm. They start with people actually doing something together. Dating apps aren’t broken because of bad technology. They’re broken because chemistry is hard to manufacture behind a screen. That’s what inspired the entire premise of Score Love. Today, I’m proud to announce that Score Love has received funding from @halogenvc — @jessecdraper’s female-founder-focused fund backing women building the future. Score Love is a golf-meets-dating media brand on a mission to change how singles connect — on the course and beyond. We’re launching our first seven-city live events tour this April, and we’re just getting started. I’m a first-time founder. And building something from scratch (as someone whose background is in entertainment, not startups) has been humbling, hard, and the most exciting thing I’ve ever done! Having Halogen in our corner means everything. To every woman who’s been told her idea is too niche, too personal, too weird: build it anyway!!
