Reels Insights Explained 📈📹
4 key metrics for your reels to (finally) go viral

1. SKIP RATE
(The lower - the better)
% of people who scroll past your video within the first 3 seconds.
It shows whether your hook worked.

Why is the skip rate high?
– Boring first seconds.
– Weak hook.
– Unclear what the video is about.

How to fix it:
Start with a problem, a question, or an action.
Add a short text hook in the very beginning.

2. AVERAGE WATCH TIME (The higher — the better)
How long viewers watch your video.
Retention of 50%+ = almost guaranteed “viral potential.”

Why is it low?
– Boring or dragged-out script.
– No storyline or development.

How to fix it:
Use a clear structure: Hook → Core → Main Point → Conclusion.
Change angles and shots.
Promise value at the end of the video.

3. LIKE RATE
% of viewers who liked your video.
Likes build emotional connection with your audience.

Why is it low?
– No strong emotions.
– No practical value.

How to fix it:
Use personal stories.
Be authentic.
Give real, tangible value.

4. SHARE RATE (Reposts)
The strongest driver of virality.

Why is it low?
– The content feels too personal.
– It doesn’t make people think “I need to share this!”

How to fix it:
Create content about common struggles and relatable moments.
Share useful insights or “secret” knowledge that helps your audience.

Today marks 15 years in France (and 5 years since we left Paris for the Basque Country)

While preparing this post and looking back at photos from the past 15 years, I kept catching myself thinking that I can’t quite believe the Anna in those pictures is the same person I am today.

I don’t want to use clichés, but it truly feels like I’ve lived several different lives.

The same Anna who, back in 2008, started learning French at free classes in a local library in Kaliningrad, Russia.
The same Anna who became a French citizen in 2018.

The same Anna who, in 2011, went on summer holidays to her flatmate’s family home in the Landes and saw Biarritz for the first time - and that same Anna who moved to the Basque Country in 2021.

As I write this, I’m amazed by the magic of numbers. It almost feels like life unfolds in 10-year chapters. Does that mean I’m right in the middle of a new era now? Probably I am.

I moved to France on March 5, 2011 with just one carry-on suitcase. And look at me now - a mother, with a dog and a child (I won’t even mention the amount of “stuff” I’ve accumulated beyond the carry-on I moved here with 🙃)

Of course, life-changing decisions like immigration come with big losses - my greatest ones being life far away from my mom, dad, sister, and niece. They grow up, age, celebrate important moments, almost all without me. My daughter is growing up without the privilege of spending time with her grandparents, her aunts and cousins. I’ve lost touch with nearly all of my childhood friends and haven’t been back to my hometown since 2021.

I will never know what my life would have been like if I had stayed in Russia.
But I do know that over these past 15 years, France has given me so many beautiful opportunities I couldn’t even dream of: finding my best friends, building a family, becoming independent and self-employed, working with incredible brands - first as an account manager from the office, and later as an independent content creator…

And for all of it, I am deeply grateful

Traveling to Rome with a toddler 🫠🫣 (the reality of it on the last slide)

but it’s definitely a dream come true and another adventure added to our memory bank!
I even brought my camera with me and got to rediscover the pleasure of photography

10 tips for visiting Rome with a toddler

Here’s what really worked for us:

⏰We planned our days around our toddler’s rhythm. Mornings started around 7–7:30, we came back home after lunch by 1 PM for rest, and went out again around 5:30. Dinner and bedtime by 9 PM.

🌝Early mornings were the best time to visit popular sights. Sonia had plenty of space to run around the Colosseum without big crowds.

⛲️We always made sure our route included open squares where she could move freely — otherwise, she didn’t want to stay in the stroller! Places like Piazza Navona, the Colosseum, and Campo de’ Fiori were perfect.

🥨Snacks saved us so many times. Always keep a few in your bag!

🌱Villa Borghese was a dream for a toddler day: amazing views, picnic spots, rowboats, fountains (Sonia was obsessed!), and stairs to climb.

🧗🏼‍♀️ Rome has cobblestones and narrow sidewalks — not ideal for strollers, but honestly, a carrier or hiking backpack wouldn’t have been much better. Plus, Sonia napped in the stroller during long walks.

🏡We chose an apartment that allowed us to walk everywhere — we stayed near Repubblica metro. It was 15 minutes to Trevi Fountain, 20 to the Pantheon, and 40 to Trastevere.

🍝For meals, Sonia just shared our food. She’d try our dishes and eat what she liked — made things so much easier.

🍌Our favorite snacks: bananas, prunes (don’t forget wet wipes!), baby pouches, granola bars, and organic corn puffs — perfect for tough moments.

🤳🏼We didn’t really go inside most tourist attractions — the lines were just too long. But walking around them was great and enough for us.

👒And last but not least: always carry a sunhat, sunglasses, SPF, and lots of water!

Our daughter is turning 2 in just a few weeks, and we decided to surprise her with a little room makeover for her birthday. And we started with the centerpiece - the bed.

We chose @monlitcabane for their dreamy design, range of sizes, and all the beautiful accessories.

We went for the B Premium 90x190 au sol model, big enough for one of us to lie next to her when she’s sick or needs comfort.

Right now, she’s still getting used to the new space (and so are we!), but she already loves the freedom her little cabin bed gives her.

how to 🙊
The idea: the video lasts 6 seconds — this sound tricks your eyes and ears, and people can’t figure out “what’s going on?” 👀

The video doesn’t need to make sense — it’s just to boost your reach. Just make it look like it has a meaning 😏

Tutorial:
	1.	Open your video editor
	2.	Pick your clip
	3.	Cut a 0.1 sec piece
	4.	Copy-paste it about 40 times

Then — grab the sound from this video and post it next 🔥

You’ve probably noticed that I go to flea markets almost every Friday.
Places like this can look like just a pile of junk at first, but very often (almost always) there are so many little treasures hidden there 🪞🧸🪄🍴🫖
