Asheford, my baby girl. Happy 3rd birthday. As I write this holding your hand while laying on the ground next to your crib…I can’t help but to feel like my time with you is being stolen every day. Like I’m spending it with you…but it’s never enough. It seems like just yesterday I was holding you in the hospital right after you were born…wondering what it would be like to be the dad of a newborn. And now you’re talking…saying things like “Daddy’s Girl”, “Lylie B”, and to your sister “shut your mouth right now”….we gotta work on the last one😅 Being a daddy to you and your brother and sister has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and one I can never thank God enough for. But seeing you grow is challenging for me. When I travel for work I come back and it seems like you’ve grown inches since I saw you last. I know it’s part of being a father…but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t painful missing a single day with you kids. Right now, you’re snoring and I’m tearing up finishing this last part but I want you to know that your daddy loves you and right now…everything is perfect. And although it will hurt to see you grow, I am excited for who you will grow to be. “I love you the most” -Daddy
