Lebron James winning a playoff game alongside his son is maybe the most admirable achievement in the history of sports. Like we spend a lot of time arguing about legacies, right? What’s a better legacy than this? You can talk about rings and stats, but achieving this as a father blows any other basketball achievement out of the water. MJ doesn’t have one accolade that even comes close to this success story. Because not only does it speak to your longevity and prowess for your own basketball career, it speaks to your success as a father. 41yrs old, 20+ season career, still putting up triple doubles and winning playoff games - that in and of itself is an all time great accomplishment. Raising your kids and fostering their abilities and setting them up to have their own succsssful career as a pro athlete - truly one of the greatest accomplishments a parent can dream of.
Doing BOTH AT THE SAME TIME??? As an athlete, a father, and a human, that’s the top. The other list of pro athlete accomplishments:
1) Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier
2) Jesse Owens winning gold in Nazi germany
3) Muhammad Ali as a sports activist and cultural icon
4) the Griffey boys hitting & robbing home runs together
5) Jim Abbott pitching a no hitter with one hand
6) Drew Brees propping up the city of New Orleans after Katrina.
