Led by @raffaella_panie, the Milano Cortina 2026 visual system is centered around the new “Italian Spirit”: human movement and gestures.
The single-stroke logo by @landorofficial, inspired by a finger drawing on a foggy window, was selected through a public vote, a first for the Winter Olympics.
This emphasis on motion continues in the pictograms and medals: flowing lines convey the rhythm of each sport, while the medals unite two contrasting halves in perpetual movement.
Alpine-native stoats Tina and Milo represent the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Designed by Carlo Ratti and titled Essential, the torches glow in sky blue and mountain bronze. Made from recycled materials with a visible burner, they’re powered by bio-LPG from renewable sources like used cooking oil.
