The Knicks have spent big to build a Finals team.
Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, and Jalen Brunson currently occupy the top three spots among NBA Finals players by average annual value.
That changes next season, when De’Aaron Fox’s 4-year, $221.7 million extension and Mikal Bridges’ new deal take effect. Even then, San Antonio will continue to benefit from the rookie-scale contracts of Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and much of its young core.
