This season has been unreal. Big games after big games. Records falling. Moments we’ll remember for years. But there’s one thing it keeps taking away from us. A true, generational MVP battle. The league is stacked with superstars, yet injuries keep getting in the way. Jayson Tatum has been sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL. Luka Dončić has been dealing with a leg contusion that’s clearly affected the Lakers. Now Nikola Jokic has gone down as well and is set to miss time after a knee injury, despite putting up MVP, even 2K-level, numbers. And then there’s Victor Wembanyama, who went down after just 24 minutes against the Knicks. Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains healthy and playing at an MVP level. Injuries are part of the game. We all accept that. But imagine all five healthy, all in rhythm, all fighting for one award. That MVP race would’ve been legendary. And honestly… we were robbed.
