Liam Neeson has said he still has the original lightsaber hilt used for Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The prop isn’t a glowing blade, but the actual handle used during filming, which is reportedly engraved with dates from 1997 when the film was in production under the working title Star Wars: The Beginning.
He’s also previously admitted that he and co-star Ewan McGregor would make their own “whooshing” noises during fight scenes, something director George Lucas apparently had to tell them to stop doing. Even Jedi masters can’t resist it.
