A Jaylen Brown / Donovan Mitchell swap makes too much sense right now. If the relationship between JB and Boston is as bad as we think, it’s simple for the Celtics: get the best player possible. The Cavs may want to get off Mitchell before a huge extension - which Boston was willing to give to Giannis if they traded for him (I know he’s a different caliber player, but the financial commitment is possible) Cleveland would be Brown’s team, which is what he’s wanted. Mitchell would play next to the best player he’s played with his entire career, and have his best shot at a ring. Celtics wouldn’t completely gut the roster OR dramatically compromise a shot at a ring next season. Makes too much sense if both sides are willing.
