Collier became the first NBA player to record 20+ assists while playing the entire 48 minutes since Magic Johnson did it in Game 5 of the 1991 NBA Finals vs. the Bulls. Collier is now the youngest player ever to pull this off, and the first Utah Jazz player with 15+ points and 20+ assists since Deron Williams in 2008. Only John Stockton has ever recorded more assists in a single game for the Jazz. For context, the last time this happened was June 12, 1991, when Magic put up 16 PTS, 20 AST, 11 REB while playing all 48 minutes. Despite Magic’s efforts, the Lakers lost as even Jordan and Pippen logged in 48 mins a piece to win their first of six titles. So, Isaiah Collier is slowly looking like an elite playmaker.
