BREAKING: Penn State star RB Nick Singleton suffered a broken bone in his right foot during Thursday’s Senior Bowl practice and will undergo surgery next week to repair the fifth metatarsal bone. Singleton, 22, is expected to attend the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, but won’t be able to participate in on-field drills and may not be cleared to work out at Penn State’s March pro day. Singleton (6-0, 224lbs) rushed for 3,461 yards on 622 carries (5.6 YPC) and 45 TD with 102 receptions for 987 receiving yards, 9 receiving TD, and 1 kick return TD across four seasons and 53 career games at Penn State. Singleton finished his college career atop the program’s all-time leaderboards for touchdowns scored (55) and all-purpose yards (5,586).
