These four spiral arms aren't what you'd expect to find in a galaxy—even one that's far, far away. Most spiral galaxies only have two arms. However, this galaxy (known as Messier 106) has an extra pair that are red, wispy, and made up of hot gas instead of stars.
Messier 106 is 24 million light-years from Earth. This image was taken with our orbiting @NASAHubble telescope, but you can see the galaxy for yourself with a small telescope from the ground.
