In 2018, a California man’s Ford Mustang was destroyed by lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano - but he says that’s not what stuck with him most.
The real loss was his R2-D2 mailbox, handmade by his daughter for a Star Wars–loving family, which had become a small but meaningful symbol of home.
He also mentioned wishing he had time to go back for his Star Wars mug collection, but says he’s just grateful all of his loved ones are safe.
