The White House turning the war in Iran into internet content is fascinating. Posting hype videos that look like Call of Duty edits or blockbuster movie trailers, except it’s to promote actual military strikes. I find this intriguing for 2 reasons
- #1) this is the pinnacle of what, Donald Trump & his administration did so masterfully. Reaching the regular masses and not just the political intellectuals by making trashy, relatable content that’s usually reserved for like, hyping up the next episode of your podcast. Not an actual war. Which brings me to point #2) it’s a lot easier to watch fake movie trailer content of military strikes in the Middle East than watching the real coverage of it.
People want the edited, scripted version of war, not the reality version
