Netflix Warner Bros merger falls apart as Paramount swoops in with a $110B offer. Netflix and WB were set to take over the world with Netflix offering $27 per share for $80B total to acquire WB studios, their content library and HBO max streaming. Paramount came in with $31 per share for $110B but will purchase all of WB. 100% meaning the legacy media, news networks, cable channels. Etc. Netflix said that price was no longer financially attractive and I don’t think they wanted all that old school bullshit. But paramount is now DIESEL. 2 of the major 5 movie studios under 1 roof. Meaning Mision Impossible and Top Gun now combined with Harry Potter and Batman and DC. New HBO streaming shows like Thrones and Sopranos along with tv channels like MTV, CNN, TNT, CBS, Showtime.
