Ye has published a statement after news of his blocking from entering the UK broke, saying he’d be “grateful” for the opportunity to meet with members of the Jewish community in the UK.
“I know words aren’t enough — I’ll have to show change through my actions. If you’re open, I’m open.”
President of the Board of Deputies British Jews, Phil Rosenberg, also released a statement, writing that if Ye were to drop out of the festival, they’d be open to meeting with hin. “As such, we are willing to meet Kanye West as part of his journey of healing, but only after he agrees not to play the Wireless Festival this year.”
Wireless Festival was cancelled in its entirety earlier this morning.
