Lil Poppa's former teacher recalls him having big dreams of being famous one day. On Wednesday (Feb. 18), after getting news of the Jacksonville, Fla. rapper's passing, Arielle Jibson, one of Poppa's former teachers at Andrew Jackson High School, shared a heartwarming post about him on Facebook. "A smile and sense of humor that could bring joy to any room," she captioned multiple throwback photos of her and Poppa. "The only person to ever call me Jibbley lol. You’d make beats on your desk 24/7 and say 'I’m going to be famous one day watch' and no one ever doubted it." "The whole city wanted to see you win," she continued. "You were loved so much, not just for your talent or your fame, but for who you were. Your impact & legacy will forever live on. Sending sooooo much love to your family & friends." The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Georgia confirmed on Wednesday that Lil Poppa passed away at the age of 25. His cause of death and manner of death have yet to be revealed. Several rappers have shared their condolences via social media.
