Independent sportswriter Scott Agness alleged in a Substack post that Fever public relations informed him that his “credentialed access to all team events had been revoked.”
He adds the team “said it was due to ‘the spread of inaccurate and unsubstantiated information’ and cited [his] tweet about Caitlin Clark being ruled out 100 minutes before they defeated the Portland Fire on May 20.”
Agness notes Fever PR “briefly spoke” with him before the game “to ask about the tweet and state that they believed it was false.”
Additionally, Agness said in his post that there was “no meeting or further conversation before the decision to revoke [his] credentialed access was communicated to [him].”
SBJ has reached out to the Fever for comment.
