Expect a little extra traffic this week.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to visit NYC on April 29, with multiple stops planned across Manhattan.
The visit will include a wreath-laying ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial, meetings with first responders and families, and a series of community and cultural events throughout the day.
Queen Camilla plans to attend an event tied to the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh, while King Charles will take part in discussions around sustainability and urban programs.
They’ll also meet with business leaders in Midtown and a scheduled meeting with NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Expect heavy security, motorcades, and street closures across Lower Manhattan and Midtown, especially near major landmarks.
By the way, we have a weekly newsletter with what’s worth knowing about and doing in New York. One newsletter. Once a week. Link in bio.
