The Raiders own the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft.  And most people have already written the script: draft Fernando Mendoza.  Simple, right?  But what if they try to make a blockbuster trade for someone like Lamar Jackson?  Yes. That Lamar.  The idea would be kinda simple:  Raiders send the No. 1 pick (and more) to Baltimore.  Ravens get the chance to draft Mendoza.  Vegas gets an instant Super Bowl window.  If Mark Davis and Tom Brady want fireworks in Vegas—and quickly—this would definitely qualify.  The Raiders could now be at a crossroads.  Draft Mendoza and build for the next decade.  Trade for someone like Lamar and try to win right now.  Hey, crazier things have happened. And the Raiders just released Geno Smith. So they have a massive need for a QB1 now.
