Despite getting a $200,000 NIL offer to stay for his sophomore season, Philachack told Ejiofor to enter the transfer portal and bet on himself 

Ejiofor transferred to St. John's and it was the best decision he ever made. 

After being named the Big East Most Improved Player of the year his junior season, Ejiofor reportedly had NIL offers worth $2 million (per The Athletic).

But he chose to stay loyal to the school that believed in him.

In his senior season, he took over the Big East.
