VIRAL BOURSIN SPAGHETTI SQUASH 🍝
(RECIPE BELOW!) ‼️
This is how I make a cheesy pasta dish high in protein and lower in calories without sacrificing the flavor.
Save and share this recipe with your friends and family! This serves 4 people, so you can definitely alter the measurements according to how much you’re making 🥰
Ingredients
• 1 spaghetti squash
• 1 pint grape tomatoes, diced
• 1 container Boursin cheese, cut in half
• 1 lb Italian sausage
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• Mozzarella cheese, for topping
• Fresh basil, for garnish
• Avocado oil, for drizzling
• Salt, to taste
• Black pepper, to taste
• Paprika, to taste
• Crushed red pepper, to taste
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Carefully cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
2 Drizzle the squash halves with avocado oil. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and crushed red pepper.
3 Place half of the Boursin cheese in the center of each squash half. Add the diced grape tomatoes and minced garlic around the cheese.
4 Place the squash halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until the squash is tender and easily scraped into strands with a fork.
5 While the squash is baking, cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned and cooked through. Break it into crumbles as it cooks, then drain any excess grease.
6 Once the squash is tender, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the tops. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
7 Fluff the spaghetti squash with a fork, mixing the melted Boursin, tomatoes, and garlic into the squash strands. Top with the cooked Italian sausage and fresh basil.
Drink: I’m pairing this with @bloomsupps Clear protein to add 20g of protein to my meal, it’s only 90 calories and has zero sugar!
