The Dolphins are taking on a massive financial hit.
According to OverTheCap, Miami currently carries over $115 million in dead cap tied to players who are no longer on the roster, including multiple names who will be playing elsewhere in 2026.
What makes this even more striking is that every player featured here was on the field for Miami in 2025.
Now, all of them are gone.
Tua Tagovailoa and Bradley Chubb were released with post-June 1 designations, with Tua later signing with the Falcons, Jaylen Waddle was traded to the Broncos, and Minkah Fitzpatrick was traded to the Jets, while Tyreek Hill was also released.
They will not play for Miami in 2026, but they will still count against the cap.
A costly reset for the Dolphins.
