🚨 The downfall of Jaden Ivey has to be studied.😳

Let’s throw it back to 2022. Detroit fans were absolutely starving for a spark, and when Jaden Ivey was drafted 5th overall, Motor City genuinely believed they had found their next superstar.

It felt like destiny. His grandfather played for the Lions, his mom played for the Shock...the kid was Detroit royalty. 👑

He put the league on notice early, locking in an All-Rookie 2nd Team nod. And when he dropped that career-high 37 points? The hype was through the roof.

He was supposed to be the unstoppable co-star next to Cade Cunningham. Fans were completely, emotionally bought in.

But hoops is a brutal business. Coaching changes and lingering injuries slowed down his explosive game, and the dream slowly died.

In a move that absolutely broke Pistons fans’ hearts, Detroit traded their young hopeful to the Bulls for Kevin Huerter.

In Chicago, things went from bad to worse. Sidelined with persistent knee pain from a past broken fibula, Ivey struggled to even get on the floor.

But what just happened off the court has left the entire NBA community in absolute shock.

In a series of intense IG Live rants, Ivey went off on the LGBTQ+ community, calling Pride Month "unrighteousness," and slammed Catholicism as a "fake religion."

He claimed the "old J.I. is dead" and that he is now a changed man.

The Bulls did not hesitate. Chicago officially waived him for conduct detrimental to the team.

From a franchise cornerstone and Top 5 pick to the waiver wire in less than 4 years...did we just witness one of the fastest falls from grace in NBA history?
