Lil Poppa's death has been ruled a suicide. On Thursday (Feb. 19), the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Georgia revealed via press release that an autopsy was conducted on Poppa's body this morning. The medical examiner concluded that Poppa, born Janarious Mykel Wheeler, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Following reports of his death on Wednesday (Feb. 18), the MEO confirmed that the Jacksonville, Fla. native passed away around 11 a.m., though they did not give a cause of death at that time. Several rappers, including Yungeen Ace, Boosie BadAzz, Mozzy, Rob49 and others, have reacted to CMG/Interscope rapper's tragic passing online. CMG has released a statement about Poppa's death. "We are stunned and devastated by the loss of our beloved family member Janarious "Lil Poppa" Wheeler," it reads. "Poppa was more than just a talented artist —he was an ambitious young man with depth beyond his years and endless potential. Our love for him knew no bounds."
