I spoke with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam today. Canada is a long-time partner of Lebanon, and stands in solidarity with its government and people as Lebanon has unwillingly been drawn into the current conflict in the Middle East.   We call for all parties to de-escalate and respect Lebanese sovereignty and territorial integrity.
