Petr Yan believes allowing Russian fighters on the White House card would be a gesture of goodwill beyond politics and says he would eventually like to see a major event held in Red Square in Moscow, Russia:
“I haven’t heard a definite no on Russian fighters. The UFC is a global organization with athletes from all over the world, and allowing them would be a strong gesture showing that sports are separate from politics.
The goal is, first, we take the White House. Then we will hold a huge event in Red Square.”
