Jaxon Dart completely blows up the Giants locker room by introducing Donald Trump at a rally. In turn, Giants Star linebacker Abdul Carter tweeted his disapproval of the move
This is America, folks! Jaxon Dart can support Donald Trump publicly and Abdul Carter can publicly condemn him for that. Neither guy is “wrong” for what they did.
Now that being said do I think it’s an INSANE move from Jaxon Dart? Absolutely. The return on investment for a move like this just doesn’t make sense. The juice is ABSOLUTELY not worth the squeeze. You have a divided locker room now and an entire season of drama, and reporters, and political influencers now taking an interest in the giants and stirring the pot. A full year, if not potentially more, of distraction and friction that will be talked about week after week after week, beaten into the ground, and making every loss or every other hurdle that much more difficult. And, for what? You can say for his pride as an American and it’s an honor and privilege and blah blah blah. But really at the end of the day this is just for attention, and now you got it. Unless there’s som sort of compensation or benefit from doing this, it’s something that Donald Trump benefits from WAY more than Jaxon Dart does.
And I don’t think you’re infringing on someone’s political freedom to say “I wish my franchise QB didn’t let his political opinions ruin my team’s chemistry.” Plain and simple I want my QB to think that winning a Super Bowl is more important than expresssing his political opinions. Maybe that’s unAmerican but I say it’s Pro-Super Bowl. That’s what I want from my QB. Or at least the smarts to say “I play in THE NFL so I’m not going to go say something that will really piss off all the black football players” bc guess what THERES A LOT OF THEM and they all now hate you 😂😂
PS - Regardless of who you support that was objectively terrible. That “wasssup wassup wassup” before starting a shitty Big Blue chant, forgetting what number comes after 46, and saying that he was “pleasured” to introduce the president was really an F- job.
