Tensions were high following the Indiana Fever's matchup with the Phoenix Mercury, and head coach Stephanie White didn't hold back.
White expressed her frustration with the officiating after a no-call involving Alyssa Thomas and Caitlin Clark, calling the play:
"It was egregious. The fact that it was a no-call... Number one, you've got to call it. It's absolutely egregious and utterly disrespectful. And then, number two, you're coming in here aware of what happened two nights ago, and that still happens? Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable."
She also added that, "We have a generational talent and a WNBA superstar who had two cheap shots right there that weren't called. And I just say again, absolutely unacceptable."
White's comments show the growing frustration within the Fever organization, especially with Clark frequently drawing heavy physical attention from opposing defenses.
