According to reporting from Fox 5 DC, a professional cornhole player from La Plata, Maryland has been accused of murder. 🤯

Authorities say 27-year-old Dayton James Webber is charged in connection with the death of 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells of Waldorf. Investigators allege the two were involved in an argument that escalated into a fatal shooting. 😬

Police say Webber was inside a Tesla SUV when he shot Wells, who was seated in the passenger seat. Afterward, he allegedly pulled over and asked two passengers in the backseat to help remove Wells from the vehicle. They refused, exited the car, and contacted police.🚔

Officials say Webber then drove away with Wells still inside the vehicle. Wells’ body was later discovered in a yard along Newport Church Road in Charlotte Hall, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Webber was eventually located at a hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he was taken into custody as a fugitive.

He is expected to be extradited to Charles County, where he faces charges including first- and second-degree murder, along with additional offenses. 🚓

Authorities have not yet clarified how Webber, who is a QUADRUPLE AMPUTEE, was able to operate a vehicle or use a firearm.

🗣️ - “It’s early in the investigation, but there’s no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved in the shooting and that he acted alone,” said Diane Richardson of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show Webber firing rifles handguns.

Webber reportedly underwent quadruple amputation as an infant due to a severe blood infection.

He later became a professional cornhole player competing in the American Cornhole League, which has aired on ESPN since 2016.

Wild.
