UFC fighter Josh Hokit, who made headlines by stumbling up to the scale and throwing up on himself during the UFC Freedom 250 weigh-ins on Saturday, declared that former First Lady Michelle Obama “is a man” after his Round 2 TKO win over Derrick Lewis on Sunday night. 😬

In one of the many Idiocracy-esque scenes that was produced by the UFC Freedom 250 event on Sunday night, Josh Hokit’s post-fight comments may have taken the cake.

As popular political commentator Tim Miller succinctly summarized, Hokit shouted “‘Michelle Obama is a man!’ on the White House lawn in a ring sponsored by Bud Light only available on Larry Ellison’s Paramount Plus.” 📺

While some people may want this to be their representation of the United States of America, comedian Shane Gillis apparently isn’t one of them. 👎

Gillis — despite being a recent fixture at UFC fights and being largely associated with the right-wing comedy/podcast “man-o-sphere” that helped Donald Trump secure the votes of young men — wasn’t a fan of Hokit’s comments.

🗣️ - “I didn’t love that,” Gillis told a reporter when asked about Hokit’s comments.

Hokit’s comments about the former First Lady came just a day after he told the media that he had been drinking the night before because he had “a giant black man that wants to knock me out.”

Hokit, 28 years old, improved to 10-0-0 in the UFC with his win over Derrick Lewis and is currently the 5th ranked heavyweight fighter in the company. 👊
