Hughes grew up in Melbourne chasing a dream of playing in the AFL, reached the semi-pro level, then pivoted to punting through Prokick Australia. 🇦🇺
That journey took him from junior college in San Francisco to New Mexico, where he became one of the best punters in the country and a Ray Guy Award semifinalist.
Now he’s headed to Florida State after averaging 45.4 yards per punt last season with 13 punts inside the 20 and 13 more of 50+ yards. 🔥
And because of the way eligibility rules work, there’s a chance he’ll still be playing college football when he’s 31 years old.
